Actually, I’m that guy that sets fires constantly. There is NOTHING more satisfying than settling a nice fat BB on fire, watching him use his damage control, then starting him on fire again. If you have good awareness, you can get 2, 3, or even 4 ships burning at once. Then throw 10 km or 11 km torps from tha Atago or Mogami into that confusion, and enjoy the show!! Japanese cruisers should be illegal. This one looks pretty amazing. Can’t wait to burn those potatoes on the edge of the map!!

was wondering about the captain's skill "equilibrium of power" where you trade HE damage for penetration. first question: is this anyhow related to chance of setting fires? my thought was, with this kind of ship you're hitting deck armor and superstructures mainly, so penetration is not so much important? plus higher damage gives you higher chance of setting fires and module damage? or is this total crap??? (i am a noob, but willing to learn lol) thx

tripLectro its an OP skill. No, nothing to do with fires, but you’ll be hitting 32 mm of playing most of the time and you can only pen that with this skill equipped. You’re doing pen damage and fire damage now instead of just fire damage.

Amount of damage has nothing to do with fires. You can do 0 damage (a shatter) and still set a fire. Module damage is similar as you don’t need to hit the module to damage it with HE

Fire chance is it's own separate factor of HE. Penetration on HE determines whether you do full, partial damage or shatter the shell on the armor

Paul Schauer damage saturation happens with AP as well - but at least with HE you can get fires which don’t care about saturation

Correct damage saturation does occur however when trying to set fires you dont re as ally care about damage each shell does

The Kutuzov is so powerful that I barely play her as I feel that its an unfair advantage. I love setting fires, but the Kutuzov almost takes the sport out of the game because you destroy whomever you have in your crosshairs. What else can I say but the Kutuzov is the best ship in the entire game.

Mby im wrong, but reload speed is always great, no matter your rate of fire. 10% fast reload speed will always boost your damage 10% if you fire non-stop over a long period of time. I use the Commander-Fire perks and skip the 10% range boost on ru cc, because the range is long enough on this ship IMO. 19 km is great, but you realy ever make use of it anyway.

Yep, i got moaned at for camping behind an island in a Stock Kirov yesterday damage farming, i got out too late and got taken out but had 50k HE Damage. I got 4 Dislikes on that video (so i removed it as felt like my reply was a bit harsh) but noticing more people are disliking my content lately (Normally i may get 1 like, 0 dislikes at best). Later i realised Kirov is a mini Baltimore firing AP at Cruiser Broadside (Jarhead said he Citadeled a New York).

This ship should not be in the game. It's not even remotely a counterpart to any of the other tier-7 cruisers. Mogami, entered service 1935. Hipper, entered service 1939. USS Baltimore, entered service 1943. HMS Minotaur, entered service 1944. *Kutuzov, entered service 1954!*

I dont have a problem with the year it went into service. As the only strength it has is range. and smoke. Its armor isnt good the guns are only 152mm so it's not really much of an AP threat. Torps are only 8km so unlikely to use them without being blasted out of the water

@@SpartanElite43 That's kinda my point, though -- the ship is, technologically speaking, pretty superior to typical WWII cruisers. In-game, that manifests itself as a ship that has great ballistics (long-range and accurate shells) plus the advantage of a self-made smoke screen. And its armor may be "not good," but it's on par with the Hipper and the Baltimore, which are heavy cruisers. If they're going to introduce the Kutuzov, it should be a Tier 8. Otherwise the eventual introduction of the HMS Neptune, USS Des Moines, and other post-WWII ships would be in tier-7 also, which I'm not really a fan of.
