Rui is Not a 3pt shooter, Christian Wood is a much better floor spacer and post passer than Rui. He'll make the offense the best that it can be. I personally would start Reaves Prince Bron AD Wood, DLO Cam/Max Rui Vando Hayes, Gabe etc. That's a real 3pt shooting lineup with Bron & AD

vando will bring the most value if he gets started as his value is guarding the other teams best perimeter player. but fit wise taurean prince or rui are a lot more deadly cuz of the spacing.

Do you worry that if Vando starts someone like, for example, KD gets to take possessions off on D. Why not force him to guard by starting Rui, then bring in Vando fresh to do his thing. BTW it's not Myles Turner tho we got out stretch big... cheap too! 💜💛😈💛💜

@@phantomdancer3279 sure, Rui needs to learn tho - I'd rather this happen sooner than later... regular season not playoffs. Vando can sub in for LBJ 4mins into the first quarter even. Ham needs to limit Bron's mins: 1st 6mins, 2nd 7mins, 3rd 8mins, 4th 9mins = 30mins. Hopefully AT MOST 35mins, and I'd rather have those extra 5 mins come LATER in the game. 💯💯💯

@@schmitkeoriginals yes he does fuck the spacing but thats my point, if he still is unable to shoot well we have to trade him and dlo for a more potent piece. but we have him atleast till the trade deadline and in my opinion he is best utilized in the starting group cuz he is a much much better defender than rui. now rui can finish games but vando has to start to match t he opposing teams best perimeter player. also u said u want rui to learn but i dont think his bodytype is made to guard the perimeter that way. he is too big and stalk for shifty players like kd,pg etc. you could maybe use him on bigger guys like kawhi,giannis though.

5 years ago Id agree on Wood being a starter. The problem is that FORCES Lebron to play the 3 and chase star wings around. In spurts yes all 3 together but not bulk mins. You need Vando or Rui to guard those wings. Dlo Reaves Rui Lebron AD. Then sub in Vincent Vando and Wood for Rui Lebron Dlo. Thats your playoff 8 man rotation.

I think the biggest advantage of having Woods is if Davis won't be available to play due to injury which is highly probable, we now have a player who can replace him at least 60-70% of what Davis can do.

Finally Coach Ham has personal that's interchangeable and could really create problems in matchups especially with Woods on roster with A.D will be awesome to point you can play Hayes at 5 A.D at 4 and Woods at 3 against certain Teams

I started to disagree but you are actually right about that. Teams would have fits trying to guard that lineup. Bron can actually play all 5 positions but we know that at his age it wouldn’t be wise. This is a deep team wether people admit it or not

With Roster they have now they can play ▶️ so many varied lineups or combinations its open to Coaching Staff. And I forgot T.Prince who's gonna be Killin the 3's . I want see them use Jaxon Hayes too cause he's high energy player that can ignite offense and looking for Jax to play defensive too . And Cam Reddish knows It's time too .. I've been LAKERS fan since Jerry West and Elgin Baylor.. you can tell cause I always spell LAKERS in capital letters .. 🏀 🏀 🏀 🏀

I think in the beginning C.Wood should come off the bench to spell AD. Keep him fresh. The goal is a title. D.Ham has a lot of weapons to manage. It's about finding the right combo night in and night out. He should take a page out of the Dodgers playbook. D. Roberts use analytics to find the right line up night in and night out. These guys are young humble guys. He can sell these guys on the goal of winning a chip through everyone sharing the load throughout the season. It's about a team goal not individual stats.

EARLY LOW RISK Woods to Start bc U have just 1yr prove it vs 3 Vando & 3 Riu guaranteed fallback with AD hiding Wood defensive flaws just as Rui's. Also if AD is load managed or out Vando can hide Woods as PF. Rui & Vando might work together in small ball line up ? Also Rui's offensive mid range game with AD out or resting teamed up with LBJ allows or IF Lakers fill #15 with Boogie yields another deadly duo of Boogie & Rui with Boogie as a Stretch 5 & Bulkie 3rd String center against bulky centers 😇

If you listen to the players and coach during media day youll see thats exactly how they will pair AD and Woods. Its about having a stretch center/big who in Woods case can also play the 4 making it even more dangerous potentially. I cant be wrong because my statement wasnt about position, it was about style of play.

WHAT IM most interested is how CHRISTIAN WOOD puts an effort on defense. With BOTH elite defensive player in AD n Vanderbilt in the team WOOD even with a satisfactory improvement on defense takes the LAKERS to the next level. There are 3 teams in the league that the Lakers Need to rotate AD in his defensive assignment. But only Denver with Jokic is the current legit contender. WOOD AD VANDERBILT with Reeves and Lebron switching on a point forward will make them a devastating mismatch any given night.

If I was the coach of the Lakers I would move LeBron James to the PG position, Vincent would be my SG, Rui would be my SF, with Davis playing PF and to round it out Hayes would be my center. Now you have a starting five that can score and defend against any team in the league.

You guys always do and say the same thing. Reeves, who came from nowhere is locked in to advance in everything this up coming season. But, every other player's progress and real potential is still up in the air. Note: Once the NBA scouts lock in on you, it gets a little tougher. I hope Reeves improves in all stats. However, you make it seem like Rui, D'Lo Vando and the other vets aren't already battle tested or don't deserve a rotation spot yet. It's a pattern, very predictable and it's tired. Lakers have 11 players who could or have started on other teams. Go Lakers!!!
