Legend of Winning, you fucking legend. This is the best video you've made so far. This is literally what I've been thinking since 2010. Finally somebody pointing out how TERRIBLE Dan Gilbert has been. Had LeBron been drafted in the same situation players like Kobe, Magic, Duncan or Bird were, he might've been the GOAT already.

This is exactly why I never faulted him for leaving the first time. His management was awful. Taking his destiny is his own hands is the counterpunch to poor General management. And shame on Griffin. I don't know how he became that wealthy without learning to trust his subordinates to do their jobs. Prokorhov did the same thing to the Nets. Owners need to butt out and manage the team.
@razkable4 жыл бұрын
2009-2010 was the first time the organization really tried to and actually improved the team not made tweaks to stay afloat like they did with gooden varejao when they lost boozer or hughes to make up for the loss of miles ricky flip and then they got ben to make up for big z getting old and mo will to make up for delonte west looking older and hughes being gone and wally z getting ancient fast and pavlovic looking like a scrub after losing damon and daniel looking scrubish as well in 2008...these moves they made only were bandages to make lebron think they could compete ...in reality it took 6 and a half years for them to really try to make a roster good enough to win it all and by then he had already decided he was leaving ....people look at the finals run the 3-2 lead in 2006 in round 2 and the 2008 game 7 and 2009 66 win 8-0 start to the playoff cavs and think oh lebron had it good but without boozer he never had a chance ..in 2010 the cavs after the jamison trade finally had a real roster but by then he was gone mentally to miami..it was too late....

Funny thing is. LeBron had a competent front office and coach and owner. And he still left Miami probably because he saw Wade was losing it and Bosh career was coming to an end. He saw the writing on the wall and bolted to Cleveland to a younger talent. And probably because Pat Reily wasn't letting him run stuff. I mean dude tried to get Spol fired he's a good coach. I don't blame LeBron from leaving a shitty situation but he's not innocent in all this he deserves some blame too. He can be a control freak.
@trowabarton3217 жыл бұрын
To Release is To Resolve Dan Gilbert is an idiot but I think he's sick of LeBron having his way all the time lately.
@yonisgure73487 жыл бұрын
He didn't leave Miami because "Pat Reilly wasn't letting him run stuff". That's nonsense. If that were the case, why did he leave after 4 long years? Why not after 2011 (when he got humiliated), or 2012 or 2013? If he's the control freak you say he is, why was he able to put up with not being able to "do what he wants" for 4 years? Totally unbelievable. He left Miami for one reason only: because he felt he was in his prime and he wanted to win a title for his home town of Akron Ohio before he exited it. It had nothing to do with Wade or Bosh (who btw are some of his best friends), or Pat Reilly or Eric Spols.
@SMFCAWFAN7 жыл бұрын
yonis gure I would agree with what u said if LeBron didn't say that he would've stayed had Miami won the chip. It's like what Durant said when he went to GSW. But no matter how obvious the reasons were for both players to go to their respective teams, we gotta roll with the storyline

Outstanding. Dan Gilbert, for whatever reason, entrusted David Blatt to coach his team. David Blatt was the NBA's man in Europe. Coach Blatt was determined to force-feed Timofey Mozgov on the rest of the Cavs. Fortunately, the Cavs and Mr. Gilbert realized it in time, fired Blatt, replaced Mozgov with Tristan Thompson, and won a title.

had lebron just showed up in the 2011 finals and stayed in miami for one more year as whiteside was added then gone to the cavs ...he would have 5 rings by now..tough....he should of three peated won 15 straight playoff series and 23 of 24 and had 5 rings in 6 years ...then no one would care about the 2017 and 2018 finals...

@SuperNardful7 жыл бұрын
It's not Gilbert's fault the Cavs thought they could "flip a switch" come playoff time just to have their transition defense exposed in humiliating fashion by the Warriors. That's most likely a coaching problem. I agree with you in terms of Lebron's pre-Miami years, but I think this year, Lebron had a good enough team around him that could beat the Warriors.

top 5 maybe, not top 3. And for #5 I need convincing that he is as unstoppable as Bird was (prime Bird)... because he doesn't look it. He looks to me to be #6 all time.
@Mckylan5 жыл бұрын
Shifu RC Lebron is the greatest SF all time. 2013 doesn’t convince he’s unstoppable or 2018 playoffs? Lebrons longevity alone beats bird. Bird was a better shooter but Lebron has all the skill sets he has and is more atheltic and a way better defender.

"However, you know who IS stupid? Daaan GIlbert." Lmaooo that line killed me lol. I remember watching all this when I was younger. The man who ruined Lebron’s legacy is Kevin Durant. Just imagine how upset Lebron must have been upon hearing that KD signed with the Warriors. I mean, there’s a reason Lebron picked #6 to wear in Miami. That was the target to beat. Lebron said it himself, not 4, not 5, not 6 etc. With KD in Golden State that target would be pretty much unattainable. It is some kind of basketball gods karma punishing Lebron for trying to surpass Jordan’s 6 championships the easy way by singing with Wade and Bosh. Lebron set the precedent. Does anyone think KD signs with Golden State if Lebron doesn’t sign with Miami? I don’t. Oh, what a tangled web we weave.

I disagree with you LOW. LeBron had the advantage of playing in a weak conference on a weak team. He was given the ability to run a team at an early age, and had a lot of success in that regard including a 5 season stretch that saw them win over 50 games 4 times, including two 60 win seasons. LeBron has ruined his own legacy.
@trvspvrk7 жыл бұрын
but if the Cavs management weren't giving out huge contracts to mediocre players, and tried to pair another star with Bron, he would have more rings and success
@leeqthe2nd7217 жыл бұрын
How many stars does he need? He has two all stars on his team already. Plus, LeBron is partially the reason for these contracts. The Cavs werent going to resign JR to that contract until LeBron pushed for it. And also he wont sign long term so the Cavs cant plan long term, and instead focus on things season by season.

Mj only finally got 1 all-star in pippen and he was drafted in as a rookie and won 3 rings in a row with a rookie.. Then added Rodman and had 2 allstars and won 3 more rings. Michael Jordan actually won every single year once he had 1 all-star but everyone acts like Rodman was there the entire time and pippen was in his prime as a rookie. LeBron had Kyrie and wiggins.. He got scared and wanted love instead of young wiggins. LeBron has had 2 allstars all in their prime since 2010 and won 3 rings out of 7 years worth... Dan Gilbert is definitely terrible but don't act like MJ had a clear path either because Kyrie is the best scoring point guard of all time arguably. And love is the best thing that fits lebron.. a shooting big man that is also the best rebounder in the league.

I think that the NBA should do something to prevent bad owners from purchasing teams! Owners have to be focused on winning and not just making profits. Making money is good and all, but if you have no real basketball or other sports knowledge you should not be ALLOWED to own a team, and if you do not then at least be smart enough to know how to hire the right people.
