When Stephanie Arnold went to the hospital for an emergency C-section, she predicted she would die. And she was right: she flatlined for 37 seconds. She tells Megyn Kelly that should could see what was happening in the OR and elsewhere during her near-death experience, and says she continues to have premonitions today. “I fought; It was not comfortable.”

I know they’re real I’ve had dreams predicting some family members death and two days later it happened but he was resuscitated and when I was younger I remember my oldest brother was going to an even and I told my mommy and my grandma that “he’s in trouble” and they looked at me like what? I said something going happen to him tell told me to stop speaking bad mind on him the next morning the my Grammy woke me up and said my brother is about to be flown to Jamaica in an air ambulance (we live in Turks and Caicos Islands) but I thought they were teasing me so I told her it’s not funny she then said “well go into his room” I went in and the smell of blood IMMEDIATELY hit me I saw him on the bed asleep with a white bandage over his eye and dry blood stains on his face and he was in a bloody T shirt I stared at him for no more than 20 seconds and ran into my room crying, while my mommy was packing his bag for the flight they told me he had gotten stabbed right above his eye trying to separate a fight (keep in my mind my brother is and was not one to be mixed in violence so my premonition wasn’t based of off him being involved in those activities because he wasn’t) my brother has underwent multiple surgeries and is alive today 🙏🏽 thanks be to God, he’s just unable to see out of that eye because some nerves were hit when he got stabbed

I am sorry for your loss Nicole...I know how it feels to lose people that you love..I lost my brother and my sister many years ago,and earlier this year my beloved grandmother passed..I loved this story because I think it does give people hope that their loved ones who have passed are ok...when my grandmother died she had all kinds of health issues and was totally blind in one eye..now I know she is happy, healthy, and is no longer blind in one eye...I will mourn her loss for many years to come, but I will not mourn her death because now she is in a much better place, and she is happy,I know she is...it's the same with your daughter and anybody else's loved ones, they are happy, healthy, and whole and what makes them them is still very much alive...the soul is energy, and energy never dies,it is simply transformed...my hope is that stories like this give some measure of comfort to those who's loved ones have passed on

I was in a car accident and according to all of my ex-rays I was alright, but 19 days later I was in the emergency room and the drs were telling me as they were exsaming me that they were going to take all my female organs out. I had just gotten married two months before and wanted to have a family right away. The drs were telling me if they don't do the surgery I was going to die within the hour. besides all of the pain I was experiencing I was so emotionally sad hurt and exhausted! I remembering as they were taking me to the operating room asking the anesthesiologist if I was going to die, and he didn't have any words of reassurance, and I just knew I was going to die. I said the same words as I said when my car flip end over end seven times off a cliff of the mountainside, "Lord my hands are in your hands now" I also remembering saying the Lord's Prayer. The next thing I remember is waking up on a life support system not able to talk feel but I can hear the machine next to my bedside keeping me alive. I remember a Nun being in the room leaning over me. My family was asking me to write something down and held a paper in front of me with the help of another hand, I told them that I died and nobody was telling me any different. I remembered that there were many people in the operating room trying to get me back I watched the machine line go flat and the drs were trying to paddle my heart. It seemed like a long time, but nothing was happening. I also remember my Dr. calling the time of my death. I watched him go out of the plastic door splits into one room to another room then through a very small room into the waiting room where I saw my husband my dad and my step mother my step brother and my sister and her boyfriend waiting. I heard him tell my family that they did everything they could possibly do, and that he was so sorry. I looked over to my husband and he began to cry and my stepmother was sobbing my sister was sobbing and my dad trying to comfort everyone while he was trying to stay calm, and strong for my family. At that moment I hears the swish of the plastic strips and a nurse running through them calling back dr Compton, he patted my dad on the shoulder and said I'll be back later. I saw dr Compton come back in the room and saying oh my god she our merical girl and repeated it over and over. I looked back over at the heart machine and it was working again as though it never had stopped. I could see everything that had happened from above the room. I never left, but I had the most peaceful feeling that I have not felt in this lifetime. Did I see angels? No, did I see family members or a bright light, or a tunnel? No I did not, but what I did feel was that stronghold of a overwhelming peace that one can only imagine, and the other, such as I could ever feel, but have no words to describe to another human being. All I can say at this moment is, it was like I felt connected to God his son and the holy spirit all at once for 4 min. and 52 seconds was my being in heaven. Later it was documented with my Drs. Nurses and all the ones who cared for me that I did die, and that I knew I had died and that it wasn't a case as a near death experience but it was a death. Thank you in advance for reading my long post. From Phoenix AZ.

As someone who has had a near death experience, I too could also hear thoughts of those in the room with me.. I didn't want to come back though. I was forced. Some purpose to be here. My story was not quite as inspirational, I died of a drug overdose, but when I finally came back to life - I heard an astounding round of applause. Like the universe was cheering for me. ..

I had a family member die of a drug overdose. His spirit stayed around for a while. He did not want to die. It was an accident. I hope you can find the inner strength to be the best person possible with your second chance. We have a purpose no matter what the world has told us or shown us. I am a sensitive person. Only my husband and older children know I can hear from and feel the presence of spirits. My dad had a premonition when I was 2. He actually had a dream that showed him how to do an emergency tracheotomy, strange. The next day he was working on the flight line(Air Force) he got a call that his daughter was choking and turned blue. They immediately rushed me by ambulance and did a tracheotomy on me. I almost died. I had a rare illness that closed my esophagus. I believe! Trust your premonitions, they are God given.

This is such a beautiful testimony. When my dad was having heart attack after heart attack, and many surgeries; i remember him waking and looking at my mother and i with a surprised look in his eyes, and he said “you guys are still here”. We responded as normally as one would, and said “yeah of course we are”. He then told us that he had just woken from a dream he had where he was walking along the beach with new clothes on, feeling healthy and strong; and he cane across a man and woman dressed similarly, and he chose to ignore them and not say hello. They passed each other; they then turned around and came back to him and asked him how he was doing and he said he was fine, they asked him if he “liked his new body”. He asked them “what do you mean, this is my new body” and they said “yes, this is your new body; you’re perfect now; would you like to meet god now, you’re ready” and he said “well, what about my wife and my daughter, and my grandkids; i don’t want to leave them.” And they said “well then you’re not ready, you can go home now, we’ll be here when you’re ready” ....and he woke up. The doctors told us later on that during surgery he flat lined a few times, and came back rather quickly. And when he was in recovery he would keep waking up asking “did i go? Am i in heaven? Where’s my wife and daughter” and they’d let him know he was still here with us.

This sounds like an animated video I watched about a year ago where the narrator meets with an accident and slips into a coma, in his coma he sees himself in a garden with 2 children sitting on a seesaw, they introduce themselves as life and death and that they are brother and sister whom people try to seperate when they want to be together (figuratively representing the fact that they complement each other or anything that lives has to die as well in order to maintain a balance, hence the seesaw). They give him a choice to live and forget their conversation of wisdom or to go along with them i.e. choose to pass. He chooses to live and lives a long and fulfilling life. Shortly after his wife's passing he decides to take a stroll in a park and sitting on the bench he sees 2 children and the entire conversation they had comes to him and at this moment he chooses to depart with them

I was in my brothers truck as he drove us down a mountain and I told him we are going to go off the side of the road. He laughed and then 10 seconds later we did. We rolled all the way to the bottom and I had 22 staples in my head. The entire time we rolled I had an angel speaking to me. It was the scariest moment of my life... but it changed me forever. I’ll never have to wonder because I know that angels are real and that we have so much more to experience outside of this human life. It’s very comforting to know and I just hope everyone can believe it... our loved ones are never gone. They’re everywhere!

Nope. You just remember the positive hits. Our brains are wired to make connections even when they don't exist. Whenever you think of someone then they call you at that very moment, some people will attribute that to premonition when in fact it is coincidence, & they discount all the times they have thought of that person & they didn't call.

I thought it was weird how I heard her exact bark when I wasn’t near her and no dogs were by me or on the block. I assumed I just missed her. I found out the next day by my boyfriend my dog passed away. I believe till this day that was her telling me goodbye. We grew up together she was like my sister. She was a pikinis/Pomeranian so cute.

Lost my Mom when I was 19 years old.. from complications of diabetes. My Dad was lost without her. My husband and I took care of him. He moved in with us and our 3 kids. Then wanted his own place again..then went to the hospital because pains in his upper stomach. My dad was admitted into the hospital. They told him and his family he had liver cancer. They took him down the hall to do more testing..and he didnt even make it through the tests.. he flat lined, the nurses passed us.. running and wheeling his bed b back to where he was before taking him for more testing. They wouldn't let us in the room. I knew in my heart..that he was gone. All we hear is the nurses yelling his name and telling him to "stay with us" and we heard them say.. "Clear" several times.. they were using the paddles to get my Dad's heart to start beating again. I was crying yelling for my Dad and Then the nurses come out to get me and the rest of the family.. soon as I walked in he looked so confused, he look up at me and said " Darlin, who was that? Was he the undertaker?" I think my heart was about to pound out of my chest! I just said.. your okay Daddy, we all are here and he grabbed my hand so tight. The next day..he woke up and all of us.. all 3 of his daughters and son all 3 son in laws was surrounded him, he started crying and said he never thought he would live to see the day that all of us was together with him..and he kept saying over and over.. thank you all for being here with me. The day after that.. we noticed he kept sleeping alot more often and for alot longer.. so I asked the nurses if they gave him anything, because he refused pain medications and refused all medications. They checked their logs and no one gave him anything. The last time he woke up, he was so sleepy and kept telling us that he loves us.. he didnt let go of my hand. I kept trying to wake him up..and it was just like.. he was sleeping really well, he was breathing good and vitals looked okay..but he didnt move a finger or anything. That afternoon we went downstairs to eat lunch..the nurses kept telling us we need to eat..and we went.. I sat down and got a bad feeling. I jumped up and ran to his room he was then laying on his side.. the nurses said they haven't been in to check on him yet.. it had only been about 15 minutes since we walked out of his room. Dont know how he turned over. But that night all his vitals started to drop but he was still hanging on.. I refuse to leave his side. Hours later, I was talking to him and thanked him for being the best Daddy and as hard as it was for me to say.. I told him.. if God is ready to take him home... we all will be okay and will never forget him and will always and forever love him, but we don't want him to suffer so if its time to go home Daddy, we will be okay...then he took his last breath and went home with God..as I kissed his forehead and holding his hand. He knew he died..when he flat lined and seen someone becsuse he asked me if it was the undertaker. RiP Daddy

My grandmother had a premonition once. She said my uncle would die at the age of 42. And she said he will be the first to go among his 12 siblings. My grandmother died even before i was born. Ask for my beloved uncle, he died last year. At the age of 42. May Allah shed His eternal light on him. Rest in peace Ayah Ngah. I hope you can finally walk and run again.

I think my nursing instructor was there in this event, she said it gave her the chills as she mentioned it in class. She did not provide names, but she worked in the C-section surgery area at the hospital where this happened in Chicago, said in class that this woman can tell everyone what they did and even was able to tell them exactly what each of them said, and that the woman came back religious.

This is crazy to me i had an experience when i was pregnant with my third son. I would at the time dream he was born stillborn. I had anxiety about it and then i got a phone call my older sister said she dreamed that I was giving birth and my son was not well. The next day my younger sister calls me tells me she had a dream that i had a difficult birth something similar to my older sisters dream. I kept dreaming that my son would die on me, it was horrible and i would wake up crying. I had difficulties during my pregnancy and told my doc i was nauseous most times. I ended up vomiting in front of my doctor and she saw i lost color immediately she called me into the hospital and he was diagnosed with supraventricular tachycardia which can lead to a heart attack, then the next morning my son was born by emergency c-section.I believe the dreams i had were warnings. If i didn't vomit in front of my doc I believe it would have been a different story. My son is well and after many health issues and recoveries he is at his best today.

I married a man who first wife died. She had a five year old daughter and a six month old son. And for a week she told several people that she was not going to be around to see her five year old daughter grow up. People thought she was just having some postpartum depression. Then she and her six months old son died. I raised the daughter. And I can tell you her mother was alway close by. Like when I was home with a new born and having a difficult time. I had to get my daughter up for school. But I was so sleepy. Being up with the baby and just the struggle of being a new mom. But my husband s late wife always work me up. The phone would ring. The door bell would chime. One day I awoke to pounding on my bedroom door so hard as I looked up I could see the door move. Bam bam bam. I reach and open the door. No one way there. It was time to get my little girl up for school. She was like a light around my/ our daughter. I think she likes me. I hope to meet her one day when I get to heaven. Because I know I like her. I think she was a beautiful person who left earth too soon. But it’s God’s plan. LA

OMG this story brought me back to 10 years ago. I too had placenta Previa. While I was doing paper work with the nurse, I told her, if something should go wrong do everything for me I want to live for my children. During the C-section I started hemorrhaging. I overheard talk about a hysterectomy because they couldn’t stop the bleeding. I ended up getting 2 units of blood, but thank God no hysterectomy. My best friend of over 20 years plus passed away about 8 years ago, the evening after finding out my little boy who was only months old at the time his baby musical toy went off the entire night even after shifting a multiple of times and only stopped in the early morning hours and never again. I do believe it was her saying a good-bye to me. Another dear friend, who died of brain cancer I was sitting in the airport waiting for my flight and a cool and tingling feeling came over me and I knew she had passed away. On my return home, I called her husband he confirmed her passing and the time she died and it was the same time I got that strange feeling. Therefore, based on my own experiences I do believe this lady and glad she is well.

From the age of 12 or 13 onward, I was obsessed with near death. I always felt deep down that I would end up staying in a hospital and recover from the brink of death (and I felt this would happen when I was still a teenager). On January 10th, 2018, as an otherwise healthy 18 year old girl, I was admitted into the hospital with double pneumonia and sepsis. I was given a breathing treatment (since every time I took a breath all I felt was liquid). That breathing treatment very nearly triggered a heart attack for about 45 minutes. The medication I had to be given to control the sepsis completely wiped out my immune system (during one of the worst flu seasons my area had ever seen). I started to go into septic shock. Because of the flu season, the hospital was basically full. They could only accept a handful of patients each day. I found out later that my doctor had sent a note to the hospital saying “If you do not admit this girl today, she’ll be dead by tomorrow morning.” The next morning a specialist from the CDC came to my room and said (exact quote) “We don’t know how you survived. We can only assume it’s because you’re young. Anyone older than you would have died last night.” After a week out of the hospital I was taken off of oxygen. After a month I was allowed to leave my house, with the condition that I had to be wearing a mask at all times and stay as far away from people as I could. After 3 months I finally got my immune system back fully.

As a hypochondriac (someone with severe health/medical anxiety) who’s made far too many false alarm trips to the urgent care/emergency room, don’t always trust your intuition. Panic attacks distort your sense of what’s real and what’s not, what’s emotional and what’s a physical response. Your body goes into survival mode and you become hyperaware. Watching this probably wasn’t very healthy for me but here I am worried that I’m dying again and continuing to watch it anyway XD

When I was pregnant with my daughter I would dream about the baby at night. If I dreamt a boy, there was no face. If I dreamt a girl, I saw my daughter. I tried to explain to my husband (now ex) that I knew I was having a girl and we could quit talking about boy's names. He was pretty upset with me. On the way to the hospital he got angry that I didn't want to talk about boy's names. I just knew. I don't know how, unless it's just that a woman knows her own body, but I did know for sure. My Pops told me a story once that I've never forgotten. He served in WWII and while he was in boot camp he contracted meningitis. He was terribly thirsty in the hospital, so someone brought him an open can of tomato juice. He got botulism from the juice and died. A nurse had just come into his room (a woman he had known his whole life) and she immediately alerted the hospital of what had happened. Pops told me everything that was said while they worked on him and everything he saw, as well. The nurse leaned over him at one point and started calling his name. He was looking down on her and could see the hair clip in her hair and hear the emotion in her voice. He said he wasn't afraid to die, but he suddenly thought about his Mom and he asked God if he could stay long enough to say goodbye to her. He said he didn't actually see God, but he sensed Him all around. He was suddenly back on the bed and the nurse had tears in her eyes. When he told the Dr what had happened he didn't believe it was true. Then Pops told him everything he had said and done and the guy couldn't explain it. I'm sure it shook him up. I'm so thankful he came back because not too long after that, he met my Mom. 😊

My husband has always had a 6th sense. When he was 19 he died twice in a car accident and spent a yr in the hospital. He had an after death experience and remembers it vividly. He can see those past on especially animals. He cannot control it, it comes and goes.

Omg, I was told I had a low lying placenta aka placenta previa. And same, for months I just knew in was in danger. Had dreams I died etc. I had my c-section, heard mumbling and literally felt the life draining out of me. I knew it was bad. They took me back in recovery and there were tons of nurses, couple Dr's and 2 anesthesiologists. That was in. Then I woke up in the ICU with a tube down my throat. The Dr says she's never came that close to losing a patient. Turns out I also had placenta accreta and hemorrhaged. They had to give me more blood than the body holds. Luckily I kept stressing to my Dr my concerns and she had blood ordered. She told my husband I guess she was right.

My father spoke of his death experience when his heart stopped following a heart attack. He spoke of seeing his body from above and seeing the doctors and nurses working on him. He also said he saw the "Pearly Gates" and chose to come back, even though he loved how it felt and what He saw in Heaven. He said the pain was awful when he came back into his body.

Another premonition that I had was I was getting ready for a planned trip to visit family in another country. A really negative thought entered my head that said why are you packing you’re not going anywhere and then I got a sad feeling that I wouldn’t fly anywhere bc there would be a death in the family. The first person that came to mind was an uncle (one of my mom’s brother’s) that he would die of heart complications. Three days later my older brother died unexpectedly in a motorcycle accident at the age of 26 in July. In September of the same year (2013) that uncle I had initially thought would pass ended up being in the hospital for open heart surgery and he survived. I wish I had known about my brother maybe I could have prevented his death somehow 😞

The story of my life ! The day I had my son at 26wks I looked at my mom and said I will not make it, I'm having this baby soon ! Days prior, I wrote a love letter to my husband... in hopes he would read it if something were to happen to me, I had placed it in his binder. I had a dream the very next day, of a baby with red hair. In my dream I told my mom his name is Malakhi... that dream and name stayed on my mind so much. The day of ... I oddly planned my kids to go spend time with my mother, made sure I was shaven lol ... called my husband one last time before he went in to enjoy a movie at the theatre. 1hr later my water broke, I was alone and no family around... I was at school, things escalated quickly. I had a severe case of placental abruction, I was internally bleeding with Hemmorage. My baby and I were at life risk... I was put down ASAP upon arrival... but during those 3 minutes before they put me down, I was at ease! Even though I was nervous, and scared... I knew my kids were safe... I gave my life to the Lord days prior . ....We made it ! My son less than 15 % survival is coming home next week out of the NICU. AND YES !!! He has RED HAIR 🤗

I crossed over during a heart attack at a grocery store and then came back. There was no tunnel or white light. In my experience I didn't feel myself rise out of my body or any of that. I was aware of my dying as it was happening, and I immediately knew that I wouldn't be interacting with my daughter anymore, and this profound reality distressed me greatly and made me want to live. I kept on existing mentally, but I simply didn't have a body. I wasn't transported anywhere; I stayed in that location where the heart attack occurred but without a body. I was aware of others in this other realm who were near me, and I could see them even though they had no body. It wasn't a large group of people near my location, it was just two people that I was aware of. They were talking to each other, just like we do here in body, and my appearing in their realm didn't really invoke much of a response; it was sort of like them thinking 'Here comes another one'. I came back maybe within 30 seconds and had a feeling of pain in my chest. My take away from this is simply that we are spirit or energy, and we don't stop existing, at least mentally when our body gives out. I noticed as I crossed that being on the other side didn't change my thinking or alter the type of person I was. I was still me with all my faults and attributes but I just didn't have a body to walk around in. It makes me think that heaven doesn't exist, but being in body and spirit at the same time is the closest we get.

My mother told me twice that she would not meet her grandchildren. I told her to stop speaking her life into existence like that. On the day of her funeral, my brother announced that he was going to be a father. He was the first of the four of us to have a child and my mother was not here in the physical world to meet her.

Omg I have a friend that almost died having this too! Her entire placenta would tear her uterus because it was attached to her uterus and she had to do an emergency c section and has never given birth since. It's deadly to have the placenta bond to the uterus and cervix and lining of your parts. I'm so sorry you had this traumatic event and I'm greatful you are alive!
