Yeah, the only thing it'll lack is a bed, which means you'll have to choose between combat ability (and looks xd) and the ability to relog.

My starter ship / pack was the Mustang I couldnt get on with it so I upgraded to the Titan and found I could do bounties better and open delivery too. I will say one thing with the ships in SC they are made different for different peoples likes. Love the video and flight shots makes it look cool

i myself picked up the nomad to get me started when the next wipe rolls around. it might be fun to evaluate its combat prowess, with its 3 s3 hardpoints, 8 s2 missiles it offers decent chunk of offensive capebilities, while its 3 shield gens and generous hull hp make it quite a sturdy little ship

The nomad is a really interesting one. Lots going for it and some unique styling. Fingers crossed I will review it one day, especially when I move on to ships with interiors.

@@MasterBen10 dont forget, the nomad is the only ship its class that comes with three different protein Supplements. Just because you are in space doesnt mean you cant have mad gains

Nicely done. I actually find my love for that little ship growing all the time. Currently, I use it for scouting the Halo for Quantanium. It is nimble, quick, and stops on a dime in the asteroid field cutting down my search times considerably. Once the rocks are found I bring in the MOLE and suck them up. Yeah, I multibox on that game loop. Eventually that may change when scanning changes at some point, but for now it is my go to scout ship for Quant. Once again, great shots. I run a cameras and drones for a living from time to time and I appreciate good cinematography.... sub earned :)

gotta do one on the Titan. when I started in the PU 1 Year ago that was my ship of choice. my personal load out is 2 s3 Attrition repeaters and a s4 Reaper nose gatling gun. best starter ship. now I'm trying to figure out which ship to buy next.

The titan is definitely on the cards, there are so many exciting ships I want to cover, finding the time is my limiting factor

difference attrition/cf 117, 227 is burst duration and recharge timer. might make sense to mix s1 attrition with cf227 to sync burst duration. components look for high HP eg mil grade A usually since many players use distortion these days. why dont u use gimbals? once u be able to load boxes in the back its gonna be awesome. con are: low top speed, high IR signature for small ship

Hey, thank you so much for this comment. The burst duration is something I did actually skip over but it is a very good point. CIG has always confused me with the Mustang line, one small rework and the rear space could be useable…. Could it be they want both baseline starter ships to have USPs? Who knows, but it does feel that way.

Sorry magic, I didn't respond to your question. So I don't use gimbals even when a ship offers them is to help train my aim. While the mustang does have them, The Gladius, Sabre etc don't, so for me its better to never use them.

I tried out the Mustang Beta. Very similar vehicle but has the log out space. Nippy little ships. I was very surprised

Yeah, the beta is really solid. Just a shame they didn't give the alpha it's back space. Sure, no bed, but at least let me do boxes.

@@MasterBen10 the issue is the only entrance to the Mustangs is the cockpit. No way to animate carrying the box and sitting in the cockpit with it. If they had a rear door access or have a deployable ramp like the 135c

Good work, i would suggest a bit more info if your specing a build, it would be nice to have a chart or sequence i can pause on where i can get what, this would close the info loop and save the viewer the need for research on thier on own for your build.(could be a link or quickly flashed on screen.) The nomad is a great choice, and in discounted times is $10 more? So I can definitely understand that decision.

only flown the mustang once, and honestly the only thing i liked about it was the cockpit view. I think its fine as a starter, but its only that. as far as starters go the titan is only a few more bucks and provides significantly more dps, cargo space, and interior and a bed. Once CIG implements the Mustangs interior I think it'll climb back to being a decent starter. All that said, the LN arura in the hands of a decent pilot is incredibly combat capable, and good practice. So even in its own narrow role its barely holding its own.

Very accurate. The mustang is limited. As a starter, you do outgrow it pretty quickly, but I think this is fine. Personally, I never use my starter ship the second I have anything else that matches a job better.

I think that is the joys of starters, they are both really great so whatever you want it's there in one of them. If the Mustang had its back space, I would call it the best starter, but the ship doesn't feel finished in some ways. Thanks for the comment Sunny, it really helps my channel grow

If you are new, get this and grind the Gladius. If you already have the game, a gladius all the way (unless you want one of the smallest cargo ships xD)

The only negatives about the Mustang Alpha in combat is that it's prone to losing wings, and taking guns with them, and doesn't have missiles. Meta ships gracefully destruct, and keep all guns until the end. But apart from that, it handles really well, has good DPS, and doesn't lose DPS for gimballed weapons. P.S. You can get behind the seat if you try hard enough. While in space, exit to zero-G, open the pilot canopy then using EVA maneuver back into the ship behind the seat. You will drop down into that area and can walk about. You can even access ship inventory while you are there. To leave, find the hot point to re-enter the ship from zero-G and it will smoothly slot you back into the pilot seat. The Mustang Beta has an "exit to rear" hot point on the canopy looking to the right, as it has a bed and other amenities back there (check it out at the New Deal outside showroom on Lorville). It would be nice if the Alpha had the same hot point, even if just for inventory access.

Very very true, so the wings and engine pods break all the time. 2 shots from a s5 will set you into a spin unfortunately. But that's correct for a light fighter with such prominent engines I suppose. When it comes to the rear space, I did consider mentioning you could cheese the zero G, but given some more new players would see this, I decided to leave it out. But thank you for picking up on that!

a tip; just backspace instead of repairing when you lose a wing I think repairing gets rid of the weapon permanently (until you replace it) And I may be very wrong

The alpha is good but the BETA IS BETTER! You can do box missions AND log out in the bed. Don't know why THIS version wasn't a starter

Really great point Phillip, unfortunately I feel like CIG didn’t want the too start ships to compete. Either give people a bed and walking room, or a single seat fighter. There is more than enough space back there for a bed / walking room. The BETA would make far more sense, thanks for the comment it does really help the channel allot!
