Meet the new voice of the subway system

The man who voices subway announcements has one of the most recognizable voices in New York. He`s the first person many hear in the morning and the last person many hear at night. That`s about to change. There`s a new voice coming to the subway.

I miss Charlie's voice too, I don't like the change. That's my personal opinion, however on the long Island Railroad when the old train rolls in it has Charlie's voice. All in all as long as I get where I'm going it don't really matter.

Just check for a division transfer announcements you hear Charlie there example this is Grand Central 42nd Street transfer is available is available to 5, 6 and 7 trains connection is available to Metro north and shuttle to Times Square R142 4 Train 1220 January 2nd 2016. Another Charlie announcement is this one ladies and gentlemen this train is momentarily by the train dispatcher due to high train traffic ahead. R142A 7311 January 19thb2015

I also noticed a change for about why to not go on the tracks for any reason. It used to be "Never go onto the tracks for any reason. If you dropped something, leave it. Tell a police officer, an MTA employee, or use a station help point, or customer assistance intercom". Nowadays it is "Never go onto the tracks for any reason, even if you dropped something important. We can help you get it back, tell a police officer, an MTA employee, or use a help point intercom".

Oh wow you're the one that says the elevator is at the center of the platform. They actually record your voice twice when the 5 subway line it gets to Gun Hill Road. I believe it's either Gun Hill Road or Morris Park Station. The elevator is at the rear they record your voice twice over
