Ladies and Gentlemen, this is an important message from the New York City Police Department. Keep your belongings in sight at all times. Protect yourself. If you see a suspicious package or activity on the platform or train, do not keep it to yourself. Tell a Police Officer or an MTA employee. Remain alert and have a safe day.

Great to see the guy behind the voice on the NY subway.Surprised to hear he's a fellow Londoner. But the NYC subway "the best in the world bar none"?.Personally,I find the London system better overall than the NYC system, more comfortable seating, less creaky and squeaky. However, announcement wise,I much prefer Charlie's english,e.g "BE CAREFUL of the gap between the train and the platform" is better in my view to our antiquated "MIND THE GAP".I also prefer "TRANSFER IS AVAILABLE to the…" rather than our "CHANGE HERE for"(which sounds like they're telling us to get off the train). Also,we've had a direct tube to Heathrow since the '70s (and from 2018 Crossrail will provide an additional direct link).Having to transfer from the subway to an airtrain is very tedious and I'm surprised New Yorkers consider it acceptable and don't demand a direct subway link.
