I have the Pro-Mod DK24 HH 2PT CM Poplar Burl in Transparent Black Burst with caramelized maple neck -- it's wonderful. The little toggle switch allows you to switch between parallel and series which unlocks really subtle tonal differences.

Chapman and solar also do stainless steel frets. But fender and their brands like charvel don't. I was going to buy this very guitar and have the frets changed but ended up getting a Balagure standard which came stock with ss frets. Ss frets are becoming more and more popular I think fender and its brands should pay attention to this growing trend. Personally I need ss frets cause of skin allergy to nickel and a few other metals hence why I'm banging on about stainless steel frets.

@@Williaem00 its pretty good when paired with the right amp and tone setup but i feel the alnicos are a little on the sharper sounding side as opposed to a heavier chugging side. Its perfect for playing Jason Becker and Guthrie Govan style music. I would say for metal riffs, you might consider an esp LTD arrow as the one I have came with emg active pickups, low action, and sounds real good playing killswitch riffs.

@@mikkonurmi5201 Aside from the obvious benefits of ss frets, another advantage that often gets overlooked is that they're smoother for bending. They're also good for people with nickel allergies. That said, Charvels are priced quite reasonably, so even if you add the cost of a ss refret, they compare quite favourably against other ss fret options on the market.

I used to feel the same way about Floyds. Once you learn how to set it up right it's one of the best bridges ever. The Floyd should sit flat and level with the body. Some recessed lower then others but parallel and flat is the main thing. When you tune up the Floyd should not move forward causing the string to go flat. If you notice that and it's tilting forward that means the strings are pulling harder than the springs on the Floyd. You then adjust the claw piece, just two screws. Turning the screws in increases spring tension. You have to have equal tension between the strings pulling one way and the springs the opposite direction. Then no matter what the bridge will come back to zero after dive bombs and such. Sometimes you have to swap springs or add one to get it right. I had a bad ass guitar sitting for years because I didn't know how to deal with it. Now I love it forever. Even though I still suck at using the bar.

They are definitely top tier and one of the most comfortable acoustic guitars to play. It will hold it's value well so you basically made an investment, so take good care of it.
