This is a story that many people won't believe but it depends on your age whether or not you can fathom this. I can't be certain of my age but I know that I was young enough that I could be left in my parents car on the street in Philadelphia so I could put nickels in the parking meter. I'm not really sure it was it might've been pennies but I was probably around eight or nine years old. So where did I go when I was in Philadelphia waiting for them taking care of business? Believe it or not I would on more than one occasion go in the Betsy Ross house. Chances are they probably won't let you anywhere near that now but that's the way it was 73 years ago. I also would take the trolley and Subway from Ardsley station into Center city and the subway to the inquirer and bulletin newspapers when they were on strike to get newspapers to sell on the street and that's when I was 14. Times have changed.
