I think it's great that it's airing now. It makes February the Drag Race Belgique month, considering it premiered around the same time last year. And I live for that. Also, I think the idea behind having more franchises is to see if they're doing well in their own countries and most of them are doing well, some are already staples. I have a good feeling about this season, like it's gonna come out of nowhere and swipe us all up.

I wish they were dubbed in English. Having to read subtitles takes you out of the fantasy, if your eyeballs are at the bottom of the screen reading you’re missing all the action. Might as well just read a transcript of the episode if you’re not gonna be watching.

It’s not aimed at you though, it’s aimed at Belgian drag fans. Not everything revolves around anglophones. No one is making you watch it, but you miss out on so much good tv if you can’t do subtitles. It’s pretty common throughout Europe to have subtitled tv shows. It’s not a lot to read at once.

It's a notable issue on many of the International franchises. I think it's an open secret that the UK really struggles with attracting queens of colour, with no obvious solution. Germany had only one, I thiiiiink, France has recently crowned a queen of colour, though that season was majority white by some distance. It's a problem, and it's an obvious problem. I don't know of a solution that would please everyone, because a quota system is pretty tasteless.
