They’ve all lost considerable hair at the root from the weight with thin spots and receding hairlines. You can see it when they pull their hair back. IMO, hair passed the hips is diminishing returns. The stylist was a sweetheart, lovely skilled and talented person.

I shaved my head when I was 18. I’m now 29 and been only getting cuts for health of my hair. I get a trim every 9 months. When straight it’s at my butt, when it’s naturally curly it’s half way down my back. I plan to grow it as long as these women. The saddest thing is the longer it grows the less curly it gets because of the weight of it. I’m blown away by the fact they don’t cut their hair at all, wouldn’t the split ends be awful ?

that's the same as my hair! but i think i wont grow it past my butt because the very longest hairs i will sit on accident already and pull it... i definitely trim my split ends every few months! also to make more curls and volume i give myself a deep layer and comb it upside down, apply mousse and scrunch, and then flip it right side and then dont touch it. if i want ultra volume i will lay flat while it dries or Even upside down over the edge of the bed!. i want volume and length and its hard to have both because my hair is so heavy

I've never seen women with incredibly long that looked fully healthy. Even the ladies here - the last foot or so looks kinda scraggly... And just in general their hair looks thin 🤷‍♀️

They don’t damage it so no it won’t get messed up. Never cut your hair! That’s my plan. I trimmed my hair because my salon forced me to at least every year but every time they force me to cut it I feel off and not myself even if it’s only 3 inches. I hate cutting my hair I’m never cutting it again.

Dont bleach it or permanent dye and it will grow longer. Even putting bleach on it once will do damage. (Im a hairdresser with long hair)

Also side note I know dozens of women who have never cut their hair for religious reasons and yes it gets down to the floor they always keep it styled and up and the hair naturally breaks from split ends

I have hair down to my hips. Everyone always tells me how jealous they are of my hair and while I do love it and proud of it it is a pain to take care of. My hair is thick and naturally curly and frizzy (it’s not damaged. That’s how my hair has always been. I get it from my mom). There’s days that I get so frustrated with my hair I just want to shave my head and just wear wigs lol. I can’t imagine having hair as long as these women. It would drive me insane 😂

‼️They do have stunningly beautiful long hair! But I do want to mention being short has a lot to do with how long your hair looks. If you're 6 ft tall 3 ft of hair will come down to your waist but if you're 5 ft tall, 3 ft of hair will go down to your knees. So the taller you are the less of an advantage you have and the shorter your hair will look. Still 5 ft of hair is a lot of hair regardless. I just wanted to mention that it's a lot easier to have long hair the shorter you are.

Yes, they have long beautiful hair but please, cut those split ends! Split ends cause your hair to actually break off. It's so beautiful and then, the ends are like dead grass that hasn't been watered.

Here's to hoping none of these women are diagnosed with cancer and experience it falling out. Having your personal identity so connected to your hair is not a good idea and would be psychologically devastating if they lost their hair and didn't know who they were without it.

Yes my daughter has hair that goes past her butt & it's VERY thick too (I've noticed a lot of these women with very long hair ,their hair isn't super thick) . Point being my daughter is now 11 & we have people stop us & comment on her hair alllll the time. She's definitely known for it. I've tried several times every year asking her if she wants to cut it ect but she says she wants it to be longer! 🙂

I used to have hair like that! Very thick and past my butt. people used to chase me down the sidewalk at festivals, LOL! The ones with the booths where they braided hair, or sold fancy hair accessories. They always wanted to do my hair, but I always just liked my hair down. It just brightens my day to hear of your daughter enjoying her beautiful long hair! I'm old now, and my hair is thinning and doesn't grow so long like it used to.

My hair goes all the past my bum halfway to my legs . It can be frustrating sometimes though when I forget to move hair and I sit on it . But other than that I love my hair . I don’t use any hair straighteners my hair is naturally straight . Even when I wash my hair it goes straight . I have naturally straight really long naturally jet black hair . And for the first time ever in my life last month I had red highlights put in my hair and whoever sees my hair & my sisters hair . They say our hair is beautiful and that we should be hair models x

I got depressed and shaved my head when I was 15 and kept it for 2 years, until I decided that I wanted to grow it as long as possible. Fortuately, I have PCOS and as a result, my hair grows very fast. I'm nearly 21, and mine's just above my bum, I want to keep growing it to knee length but it's fairly fine (it always has been, even when it was short).

I’ve been growing locs for over 8 years. They are at my chest. I won’t let them grow past my waist…I play instruments and I’m active…I love my hairline…I have a prominent forehead too. I can’t imagine the weight.

Some of the math doesn’t seem to be adding up .. hair hasn’t been cut since the age of 5 .. person is 35 now. Hair grows approximately 1/2” per month .. should be 15ft or more of hair (depending on hair length after haircut done at 5 years old .. 6ft of hair growth takes 12 years)

People's hair can't grow after a certain length- it'll get brittle and snap or fall out. Besides, everyone's hair grows at different rates- I went from a grade two to elbow length in three years, yet my sister has spent two years trying to grow out her fringe past her chin

I’m mixed race and always had long hair and worn it natural. It’s to my behind now. I’ve never cut it because it’s literally a part of me and I love long hair. I want to see how much longer it can grow. Now that I’m an adult I take much better care of it. I’m wearing it in 8 twists now. My hair type is very high maintenance but it’s worth it in the long run. I feel so blessed that I’ve never worn weaves, wigs, extensions, etc. I don’t think I could deal with floor length hair but it’s still beautiful.

My mom always told me what Alena’s told her as well. A girl should always have long beautiful hair, she never really cut it…just trims. I had my last haircut (lob length) right before the pandemic and I haven’t been to the hairdresser since! It’s down at my waist now (curly) and expecting it to be butt length within a few months. Never had it this long but it was always my dream! Easier to manage long than any mid length!
