Ok HMS Agincourt. Rio De Janeiro was ordered and laid down on 14th September 1911, she was meant to be a show of force from Brazil to Argentina. However, Brazils economy collapsed in 1913, so the near completed ship was sold to the Ottoman Empire. She was completed and renamed Sultan Osman-ı Evvel. But out of fear of facing our own ship, while she was under sail with her Turkish training crew in 1914, the Royal Navy captured the ship. This was one of the many reason the ottoman empire joined the germans side. She was renamed HMS Agincourt and served at Jutland. Being scrapped in 1922 due to the Washington Naval Treaty.

Agincourt has another full kilometer plus of secondary range at 7.7km depending on build. If this thing had those ranges, it’s over.

Agincourt is basically the exact same ship but at tier 3 with better secondaries and arguably better accuracy on its main guns

Rio is basically what Agincourt was supposed to be before the British ‘requisitioned’ her for the Royal Navy in WWI. Same guns and secondaries and still a lack of AA. I foresee problems if she is low tier in a match against carriers, particularly Weser with its AP bombs. The QF behind the 76mm (3in) guns means Quick Firing. But yeah, her secondaries are all .50 caliber.

On the subject of the design. One thing to notice, Rio has that corridor spanning midships connecting the forward and aft bridges. This was so that sailors could run between the bridges, relaying firing or general orders without getting in the way of the guns as they rotated. If you look at T3 Agincourt, the way the British did this is they removed the flying corridor and instead they ran an ungodly (and unsightly) voice tube (or ship phone line) from the forward bridge and connected it to each and every turret fore and aft.

I think people were expecting a t4 agincourt and found themselves disappointed. With the pan American commander being a secondary focused one plus agincourt being a secondary monster at her tier I think it was a mistake for WG not to do the expected thing.

HMS Agincourt, originally named Rio de Janeiro, was a dreadnought battleship, that was constructed in the United Kingdom during early 1911 to 1913. Initially it was intended for Brazil's involvement in a naval arms race in South America, it stands out for its remarkable features as it was equipped with fourteen 12 inch guns in seven dual turrets, surpassing any other dreadnought battleship in terms of firepower at the time of laying down meaning Brazil, at the time, had claim to the most powerful battleship in the world. These specifications were specifically requested by the Brazilians, who sought an exceptionally impressive design for their naval fleet so that they could be superior to the Argentina and Chilean dreadnoughts. But with the sudden decline of Brazil's rubber industry which was a major reason Brazil could afford battleships in the first place and improved relations with Argentina, who was their primary rival, the partially constructed ship was sold to the Ottoman Empire who was looking to bolster its navy after the recent humiliations against the Greek navy. Renamed Sultan Osman I after the empire's founder, the vessel was near completion when the outbreak of the First World War occurred. The British government, along with another Ottoman dreadnought being built in the UK,seized the ship for use by the Royal Navy. This action caused resentment within the Ottoman Empire, as payments for both ships had already been made, and it influenced the Ottoman government's decision to align with the Central Powers. Under the new names of Agincourt and Erin, the ships joined the Grand Fleet in the North Sea. Throughout the war, Agincourt primarily conducted patrols and exercises, though it did participate in the Battle of Jutland in 1916 where she was the last ship of the Sixth Division of the 1st battle squadron within the Grand Fleet, alongside with HMS Hercules, HMS Revenge and the flagship, HMS Marlborough, the most heterogeneous group possible as each ship was from a different class. Following the war, Agincourt was placed in reserve in 1919, the collapsing Ottomans were in no position to repurchase the warship and the Brazilians couldn’t afford it so eventually it met the same fate as dozens of other British dreadnoughts and was sold for scrap in 1922 in compliance with the terms of the Washington Naval Treaty.

This ship seems extremely strong to me… use it as a mini conqueror and you will burn the entire lobby…. 32 percent fire chance per shell x 14 shells is nuts at tier 4 when no ships have a baked in fire chance resistance like higher tiers do. Also this ship is the first fast cooldown unlimited damage control in the entire game for battleships from what I understand, also throw in an improved repair party too.

I struggled for a long time with ships like the Agincord and the Rio de Janeiro, but I moved away from the secondary and onto a ship with range penetration and had 5 krakens in 10 rounds on both. The only regret is the constant rebuilding of the captains. Although I myself now play the Atlantico on normal artillery

I got the agincourt, it got longer ranger secondary’s and shorter ranger main guns than that. Using Madden as a commander. It is absolutely obscene and a real Kraken monster. Played a few arcade games with it where I got all 5 kills. Just got the currency to unlock this

I find it better to use the jack of all trades commander to be a little better put on accuracy commanders or concealment or a little of both or Megatron for some range or rudder shift commander just many different build you can do than useing your brawler build commander just a thought

Common bad criticism. Why? No T4 BB has AA that matters. A CV that wants to focus your T4 BB will do so with ease, regardless of what your AA is. What actually matters if you want to counter CVs at the tier is having more speed and rudder shift.
