Incredible craft and so needed in many locations. I remember driving or attempting to drive one it’s not easy throttle then drifting and no brakes

Hi Jonathan, the hovercraft is restricted to operation in waves up to a height of 60cm (2 ft).

Can you steer a hovercraft?

Of course you can, they wouldn't do much good if they could only travel in a straight line. There are large rudders on the back, behind the propulsion fans, that are used to steer the hovercraft. The rudders work similarly to how the rudder on the tail of an airplane works to turn the plane.
