Another beautiful thing about the found family vs the blood related family is what Wilbur says in the end to Luis. "I didn't think my best friend would be my dad." Luis gave his son a beautiful blood related family to grow up in and feel loved in. Something Luis didn't have with his mother.

one of my favorite details in the movie is in the beginning when Lewis’ mom is dropping him at the orphanage you hear someone run off and later on when Wilbur takes him back to that moment and he runs away you realize it was Lewis (but I will say this does mess with the movie just slightly because it means this is one concise timeline so lewis as an adult should have the memory of everything that happened in the movie but maybe that’s why adult lewis is gone the whole movie so he can butt out of it and let it happen because he knows where it ends up)

I wish I could've shown my brother this video, he was in fact a "Goob" he was focusing his time on becoming an artist (I loved his art style btw) got a job, was going to college, and he had got caught up with the wrong people and became addicted to hard drugs. After several years, he comes back home and my mom, dad, and eldest brother, showed as much support as we could. Unfortunately, as an addict he would do things like steal out the house, was prone to violent outburst, and just spat on our Christian upbringing, so my father had him kicked out of the house (disowning him in the process). My oldest brother gave him up as well. However, my mom and I continued to show him support, giving him money, for food, hotel, and clothes, but he just couldn't appreciate it because of how bad those around him treated him, there were even those on the streets that gave as much as they could, and it still wasn't enough. Life had beat him down, and people hated him, mostly because he was transgender as well, and had to beg to get what he wanted (drugs included). I'm not sure if we were enabling him, but we believed that it was the drugs that hindered him from getting better. As there were somedays that he would bounce back, got himself a job, cleaned himself up, and would be the person I knew back then. He just couldn't let go of the person who he fell in love with, which was the same person that got him started taking drugs, and that relationship was toxic in of itself. Not everyone turned him away but it was enough to make him take his own life a few years ago. I still wonder if I could've said something or done something more to save him, but I guess I'll never know, to anyone who read this comment to the end, it doesn't matter what you do for someone in need if you don't first show them love. We all show love, but we all have our limits, and when it comes to love, there is no limit. I apologize for the long comment, but after what I, what my family has been through. This means a lot to me as well.

Also wanna mention that Bowler Hat Guy IS indeed an amusingly memorable villain. The hilarity and zaniness of his character can be credited to none other than Stephen J Anderson, the film's director, who voiced not only Bowler Hat Guy, but also Bud (Lewis' adoptive father and Lucille's husband) and Tallulah (one of Lewis' adoptive cousins from the future). Stephen himself was adopted and he actively pushed to direct MTR because he related to and identified so much with Lewis. Cars, Ratatouille, WALL-E, Bolt, Toy Story 3, Up, Lilo and Stitch, and many more! Heck, Treasure Planet, all of Pixar’s line-up from Toy Story 1 to the Incredibles, and even the re-release of Aladdin on the 2-disc DVD Special Edition! Disney was seriously cooking in the late 90s and the general 2000s! (No joke, I even enjoyed Chicken Little! Yeah, I admit it’s got issues looking back: animation wasn’t the best, most of the cast, especially Buck Cluck, were pretty mean spirited, and to some it might seem a little all over the place in terms of tone. However, my defense for all of that is A. They were still trying to find their own Disney 3D aesthetic outside of Pixar, and I think the imaginative cartoony designs of the characters and world still kinda hold up to a slight degree despite the CGI looking rough. B. Buck, at least in my opinion, kinda redeemed himself by the end, and Chicken Little actually spoke his mind to his father and he responded, imo, quite appropriately. Some of the things, again, might not work, but I think Buck did actually have a decently written change of heart despite his over the top cowardly and worst-father-y character writing! And C. …the dramatic serious tones were fine, and worked alright imo. But most of the silly visual humor, even the pop culture references, and especially the 4th wall breaking opening, made me and almost EVERY KID IN THE THEATER CRACK UP AND HOWL WITH LAUGHTER! And even as an adult now, despite all its faults it still makes me wheeze with so many of the over the top reactions, and all the sudden pop music jokes!🤣🤣🤣)

This movie, being Disney’s first in-house 3D animated film, represents more than just a technical leap-it mirrors Disney’s desire to move on from their past and “keep moving forward,” embracing new possibilities. While this pushed the company into new realms, it also paved the way for less inspiring trends, like repetitive remakes and AI-written projects. The animation’s distinct look wasn’t budget-related at least I don't think so; it was an adaptation to the 1990s children’s book by executive producer William Joyce, staying semi-faithful to its style. As someone who’s read the book, I find the design choices more meaningful.

I remember how I watched it on repeat, sobbing over and over when I was watching the bit about him realizing that the woman who gave him birth also made one of the best gifts of his life - an opportunity to choose his own family. And after seeing the family he'd make in the future, he changed his mind about chasing the woman who had abandoned him in the first place. I also think that the way he defeated Doris, made a huge impact on that decision - one move during this faithful moment and he can erase the very existence of his whole future that he still has a chance to create...

I remember seeing this movie as a kid and loving it. I could never understand why Lewis' future family would be so encouraging at his failures, though. Now that I'm older, I realize how healthy of a reaction that is. And it takes time to change your viewpont from "failure = bad" to "failure = now you know, and that's a good thing", but with time and practice, it gets easier. Still kot there yet myself, but I hope to be someday. This mivie truly is underrated, though. As someone who has come from a lot of past hurt and trauma, I can genuinely say that I do cry at this movie, specifically the part where Lewis decides not to meet his mom. It really spoke to me that he saw his future and realized he liked it much better than the past that he could've lived through. Like, he could've chosen to literally live in the past for longer than a moment, but he didn't. He kept moving forward. That really hits close to home for me and likely for a lot of other people as well. I can honestly say I've met a lot of people who would benefit from seeing this movie. To anyone struggling as I am, I wish you well on your journey. Keep moving forward; you can do this. ❤
@diem10959 ай бұрын
I also like that even though the tag line is "keep moving forward", it could have also been "remember, but don't dwell". The Robinsons are all about making mistakes and learning from them. Taking those mistakes with them into the future so they have experience to draw from when they want to improve things. It isn't about instantly ditching the experience of failure, but remembering WHY you failed and how to try and change it the next time around. (which is really a message I needed right now. Im going back to school for nursing and its going to take me 5 years to do it. I went to college at 18, my degree is basically useless, but I'm trying again now with something I know I want to do and will help me. Its going to be hard and Im going to be bogged down by regret because I didn't do this the first time, but the lesson I need to hold onto is that decisions need to be made with intention rather than doing it just to do it and just because this is attempt #2 doesnt make it any less of an accomplishment. Hell, my mom at 55 is going through nursing school RIGHT NOW. She has tried and failed at so many things, but has always done her best and now she's found something that sticks and shes GOOD at. I am so proud of her. I deserve to be proud of myself too) I love your channel. Its like watching a friend talk about what their passionate about. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos.

The part of the frog and dinosaur being mind controlled was funny and I like how they are a family and are so ridiculously fun. My parents taught me that when I fail, I learn from it and it's not something we can always prevent, so it depends on what I failed at to then get me spanked because it's something that I could've avoided with my knowledge and didn't. That's why my dad especially endorses it when failing because that's the quickest way to learn, but when he knows about something that is too bad when failing, then he tells us how bad it is instead of us having to learn that hard lesson.

I don’t know if it’s been recommended before but: Where the wild things are. It’s a beautiful kids movie, one that I forgot I watched on loop as a kid. Something so whimsical and slightly scary about it which I loved. I’d highly recommend it!

Meet The Robinson is one of my favorite Disney movies, and it's so nostalgic just by seeing this movie. The Bowler hat guy is one of the best and tragic characters ever made in this movie. His revenge against Robinson is hilarious and childish, and it make sense cause he never manage to grow up without adoptive parents. Seeing him disappear, and leaving behind his diary with a question mark on his list. Just shows that he's got nothing to fulfill in his life. Really brings a good message, and that was "Keep Moving Forward".

I love that this video turned into 70% Pig rambling and personally relating to the movie and 30% the actual movie. Driving home the point that the message is the entire point of the film

there's a few things that've always stuck with me.. things that relate to one another immensely.. and really help me keep moving forward meet the robinsons - Keep moving foreword Mythbusters - failure is always a option sonic adventure 2 - live & learn fnaf 4 - tomorrow's another day helluva boss - everything will be okay failure is bound to happen.. no matter what.. don't be scared by it, just live from it, learn from it, and move forward from it.. tomorrow's a new day, another day, a mystery day.. but one that, no matter what, will entail you being okay in the end..

A few months ago my chihuahua Olivia that had been in the family for 8 years passed away suddenly. I blamed myself completely for what happed and got stuck in this guilt that I just couldn't shake away. I trusted in a vet that recommended to spay her and even though I was always afraid of doing it since she was tiny I went with it, he convinced me there were no risks and that she would be fine. He opened her up too much, she was in too much pain, wouldn't eat and almost dies. I decided to leave her in the clinic for them to take care of her, I was panicking and the thought of loosing her made me feel ill. A few hours later the vet called to say she just suddenly passed while he was trying to get her temperature. I knew she was afraid of strangers and more of man, I blamed myself for leaving her there by herself and it hurts everyday. I try to keep moving forward but it's hard and it feels like one step forward and two steps back. Thank you for reminding me of this movie, it gave me the little push I needed today.

You talking about positive reinforcement really hit home for me as well! I loved this movie growing up and could never quite put my finger as to why, so it's nice to finally have that reason clarified for me. I didn't grow up with much positive reinforcement either, especially from my teachers, so it's nice to have a shared experience with someone else. :)

I grew up watching this movie and it’s a classic to me. Every time I see it on a streaming platform I have to watch it. As you said bionic “you feel like you’re covering the message more than the movie itself”. You gave me a new tattoo idea and I’m gonna dedicate it to not only this movie but you because just like this movie you’ve helped me when I was down so today imma ask my gf if she can use her new tattoo gun to put “keep moving forward” happy Easter to you and ur physical and virtual family.

honestly to me this Disney epoch is one of the most underapreciated phases of Disney, so many bangers and SPECIALLY meet the Robinsons, this is the BEST movies disney ever came up with, way up there with the big leagues imo

this movie is extremely underrated. I myself am adopted(that’s why I love it so much)and regardless of much your parents love you, and mine do, you always wonder why did they gave me up? As a child always thought about that, but not anymore. This movie had a great impact on me as a child. Amazing video as always man.
