@bauch16 you're too naive. They aren't being released before end of 2026. And tesla clarified that the optimus robots were not fully autonomous. Going by teslas history of overly optimistic predictions, itll take at least 4-5 years for robots to have the capability to complete all household tasks autonomously. Another 3 years to ensure they're non hazardous and to pass legal barriers in at least a few states. Best case scenario of having a robot cleaning your house fully autonomously is 2032.

I was an AI product manager at GE Software and make videos on how AI actually works behind the scenes. "Ameca" is a huge step forward but is also a rather creepy, disturbing part of the humanoid robot part of the AI industry. There's no real need for a robot that tries to literally imitate a human being down to the smallest details, it's effectively trying to recreate human beings. The end result will amplify many of our strengths -- but also many of our faults, which are grave at times. It will also cause some people to lose their sense of reality (people) vs illusion (synthetic AI imitations of people), which is not healthy in the longer term.
