At 24-years-old, James Kanarek was diagnosed with chondrosarcoma - a rare, cancerous brain tumour of the skull base. His tumour was wrapping around his carotid artery, the main highway of blood to the brain.
James opted for an aggressive treatment and after a 16 hour surgery, only 10 per cent of the tumour remains.
