Jean Truelove Quilts For You

Jean Truelove Quilts For You

Күн бұрын

Ian, Maxwell, Jen and I will be attending the Oaks PA quilt show on Friday September 13 and Saturday September 14, health issues notwithstanding!! Hope to see you there:)
Join me for Truelove Family stories (which I have many, as a mother of 10 kids), Mothering Autism, with our Maxwell on our many fun car rides, and Free quilting class and sewing lessons! And as in a 'classroom' setting, my tutorials are approximately 1/2 hour+ long....So Join me in my home sewing room, out and about and trying to make all sorts of quilted goodies! Be aware ~ I like to chat and probably repeat myself over and over, (and stutter sometimes), and if this annoys you, then view elsewhere - but, if patient, you hopefully will learn a new method or technique and get an insight into a very large family and their crazy fun:)
And as always: Love From The Trueloves;)

Jean, it's always so good to see your beautiful face. I got COVID at the end of June, and am still coughing as well. My doctor said this summer strain has a cough that lasts around three months. I hope you are feeling better soon. Can't wait to see you standing next to your beautiful quilts. Splitting up the show over two days is a fantastic idea. Take care and get lots of rest.

😂😂😂 Jean you certainly know how to make someone smile “ Am I puffy, do I look fat, well it doesn’t matter you guys love me “ love the way you can make viewers smile, and yes love you for all that you are. Wishes you lot of restful nighttime sleeps, bountiful supply to energy and non-existing cough. Thanks for caring and sharing, again wishing you well. 👍❤️🙂

Hi Jean! I'm sorry you're still I'll. You are just a natural beauty! You don't need any makeup. I had long Covid last year. I'm 69 and suffer with asthma and Copd. I could hardly walk from one room to another I was so weak. I pray you recover completely with no lingering side effects so that you can enjoy the quilt show and your beautiful family.

I pray you do well at the show. We had a wheelchair for my mom. I took care of her for 9 1/2 years. I kept it and I’m glad I did. We use it for Heather who just turned 39 because of having chemotherapy in 2012. We also bought her a scooter for when we go to parks or shows. She doesn’t know where she’ll be without them. Hope you have a great time at the show.

Hi, Jean! Instead of a wheelchair, a rollator might be a solution. It's a walker with a seat, so when you tire of walking, you can sit. I use one when I have to walk a distance, God bless you and your family!!!!!

This might help, get a rollator ( 4 wheel walker with a seat!!) that way if you need to sit to recoup, you have a built in seat... please remember to lock the brakes!! It might give you the extra umph to continue your walks outside too. I have had back surgery, and I used one. It's a great tool

Hi Jean!! I was thrilled to hear my comment read 😊😊 And you look great without makeup, too! I laughed when you said, "I like my children"!!! Don't feel bad about maybe using a wheelchair for the show. If it helps you enjoy the day better-do so. I see many comments about getting a walker with a seat. That might be an idea as well. Then you'll have one if ever the need arises for anyone else to need it. I can't wait to see pics & maybe a video of the quilt show! Enjoy yourselves 😊😊

Thanks for the sweet video, Jean. Just wanted to share that Prednisone is very addictive and if you've been on it for awhile, you will need to wean off slowly, and don't be surprised if you have severe joint pain for awhile once you've weaned off (ask me how I know). :(

My mom didn’t have covid, she passed in 2019 before it happened. But what I wanted to suggest is that we purchased a foldable wheelchair for her. It had all small wheels, not like the wheelchairs with big wheels. It was so helpful to be able to take her out when she had rough days and was not able to stand or walk long distances. The folding transport wheelchair was fairly inexpensive, lightweight and easy to take along in most cars. If she was up to it, she would put her purse in the seat and walk behind like a walker. Pushing it was easy and not a bother at all for family members.

Hi Jean! I am really praying that your fatigue lifts soon. I know it’s a different scenario but I’ve been suffering with extreme fatigue for about three months now ever since I broke my foot and had to have surgery. I’m assuming it’s because my body is trying to heal the bones in my foot. So if I’m tired I go lie down and sleep as long as my body wants to. My fatigue is lifting thank goodness! I am praying the same for you❤️

Oh Jean, I'm glad to hear that you'll be wearing a mask. In your state, your immune system is lowered and you could catch anything. Even a simple cold on top of your long Covid, it would be like having the worst case of mononucleosis. I had long Covid and it took about 9 months. When I was able to get outside and sit, I began to feel a little better. I tried sewing, and things I've done hundreds of times, I would get confused. So frustrating. I tried knitting. I got 3 bags full of wash clothes/dish clothes. Again, ohad some, I was so tired, I fell asleep with my needles in hand, mid-stitch 😅. I kept the strange dish clothes for myself, and sold the others. The fatigue is unbelievable. I feel so bad for you. You're always chatty, upbeat, and laughing. It breaks my heart to see you do worn down. Like you, used to being neck deep in children, we know tired. But this... it's like having 8 babies at the same time. The affects of this "respiratory" virus are so odd. One thing you could try is Vicks vaporub on you back and chest. It relaxes your muscles and bronchial tubes. If you do cough, it will be productive. You do want to cough occasionally, or you may get pneumonia. I know the smell, but if it helps you get a deeper breath, your body will heal faster. We need our sweet Jean back, with your beautiful smile, sparkling eyes, chatting, and laughing, and full of life. My prayers are with you. 🙏❤️🤗

Hi dearest Jean. You are beautiful in and out.makeup or not. Yes inhalers do make you loose your voice. It might help if you get a special mouth piece (from the chemist) to help you use the inhaler better as when you inhale directly from the inhaler it goes straight to your vocal cords. I don't know what it's called exactly but it's like a tube you attach to the inhaler and put it over your mouth.im sure the pharmacist will explain to you how to use it properly. Hope this will help you in some ways. Sending hugs and ❤

Jean, in 2022 we got COVID. On day 9, I was rushed to the hospital with sepsis, and spent 8 days there. When my husband got it again, I was fearful as I watched him suffer. Of course, I got it, but my Lyme disease MD gave me Ivermectin. All I experienced was just being incredibly snotty (hope I didn't gross you out). I definitely want to keep Ivermectin on hand, you might want to, too. 🙏PS We hope to be at the quilt show Saturday.

P.S. It’s Laura again. My dear brother has the same thing going on with his throat and voice. He isn’t on any inhaler. It comes and goes. Oy. His thyroid (T3) has also become an issue and he’s just started a medication for it. Maaaay be helping a bit… it’s good (and heartbreaking) to hear others who are in the same boat but maybe all these conversations can help someone

I had a huge problems with the inhalers so got put on nebulizer treatments that really helped me!! Some of the treatments were just saline nebulizer. I was also put on 40mg pepcid, NAC supplement, Claritin, quercetin, black cumin seed oil....I was on that all for about 6 months and nearly completely recovered.

Hi Jean! I have collapsed discs at my spine which causes me severe pain when I walk and as a result I can't walk very far. I get worse as the years go by. I am 68. I hate ! Hate! Hate! Using a cane, walker or wheelchair!!! Makes me feel so old and unattractive to my husband although he doesn't say anything like that and is very kind. He is also 8 years younger than me and I can't do so many things with him that we used to do. Anyway, what I wanted to tell you is don't feel ashamed because you need some help at the quilt show. You'd be surprised at how kind people are! I was thinking about something that may help you as it does assist me.... a walker with a seat! You can walk as far as you can and when you stop to look at a quilt you can sit down for a bit! You can even hang your purse on it or maybe have a place to put some goodies you buy! If you stop to speak with someone you can sit! Just remember you are so lucky that this is only temporary . Hope you feel better soon and you will get stronger as the days go by just don't push yourself to prove you can do it as us women usually do! LoL! Luv to the Truelove's Jeanie

Nice to see you Jean! You look great without make-up! But I know how you feel. Steroids are anti-inflammatory drugs of the first order, as in VERY STRONG. Your docbis trying to reduce the inflammation so your lungs can work better. The puffy face comes in folks who take steroids on an ongoing basis. It's called being "moon-faced". You are not in that situation. ❤ I love your smiling face and the stories and pics of your beautiful family. (Jean and Ian "done good"!)
