This is so weird to watch. All my experiences of the island have been SO different. I'm half-Trinidadian and I always forget white people live on the island too. You don't see a lot of them around who aren't tourists. Seeing a white person speaking with a Trini accent is so weird for me! (But pretty cool :) )

Stay home, if loud music bothers you....Hypocrite!
@sarahsingz74987 жыл бұрын
mike7880 I don't see why you are calling me a hypocrite. I'm just not used to loud music because I live in a quiet place. I have not insulted Trinidad: i don't live over there I only go spend the summer sometimes because I have to. I know the culture is completely different and since I dont not live in Trinidad, i really don't care about the fact that they play music so loud. I was just surprised that it was tolerated. Therefore, do not call me a hypocrite: you do not know me.

I learned this when my kids were little. Foreign bug sprays are designed to keep away certain species of mosquitos. When you're in Trinidad you have to use local products for it to be effective. I've found Odomos to be the most effective.

Some people move here...
@kgcamacho13447 жыл бұрын
+aznfangrl612 Trinidadians come in many colours, we are a cosmopolitan people that hail from Europe, China, India, Africa and the Arab nations. The replies you've received are only partially correct. The first Europeans, mainly Spaniards, 'moved' to Trinidad in the late-1400s, with further waves of Europeans settling on the island in the 1700s (mainly French, but also British) and 1800s (British, Portuguese, German). However, only the French and British were colonial masters (owned plantations and slaves); neither the Portuguese, nor the Germans, owned slaves!

I have not been to Trinidad for over 10 years! Need to go so bad!! My parents are from Trinidad and I had been born and raised in Canada. Funny to see white people with Trini accent..I can remember visiting Trinidad for the first time when I was 8 and a white guy sat beside me on the plane and started talking to me in Trini and I was dumbfounded by it and he said that he lives there.
