The whole 'parents' thing was humorous. Did we know about the Vampire thing in the first "episode"? I thought that was a "secret revealed" story. Or is that just so common in audio roleplays that I projected it onto this story? Also, can we meet this Rebecca? I'm curious whether she's some sort of seer, telepath, or witch, using her abilities to "read" people and help friends form advantageous connections.

Oh yeah, we knew. The first episode enters the story with her coming home from work pissed and demanding popcorn because it's been a rough day and she doesn't want blood, she wants popcorn. The vampire thing is well established!

Why is the prequel in the middle of the playlist

Because if it was at the start, it wouldn't be the prequel, it would just be the start. Prequels are "a story or film containing events that precede those of an existing work." The existing work has to exist first, and then the prequel comes along to explain the stuff from before. Hope that helps!
