@@deadpoet62 Absolutely. I was 15 when I left school in 1964 and so grew up with the Beatles, Stones, Hollies etc and was able to shop for clothes and shoes in Carnaby Street. It was a wonderful time as the UK was just coming out of the austerity following the 2WW . We had programmes like Ready, Steady Go on TV which featured "mod" music and fashion. An amazing time to grow up.

In the 60's, I saw the Beatles play in Milwaukee and paid $6.00 for my ticket. Best $6.00 I ever spent. I am 68 years old was in a band at that time. I pulled out my Rickenbacker 325c64 guitar that I have not played in 50 years and I played along with this band in this video. I was amazed that I still remembered how to play these three songs. Great memories!

Sometimes i feel bad for young people today as i don,t think todays music will stand the test of time. The reality is todays music doesn,t have anything memorable.

@@adamgreenan30 I don't think he was discrediting George and Ringo as he is right. You are both right. John and Paul wrote most of the songs. They wanted to be the ones who wrote the most hit songs. I saw a Paul McCartney interview about knowing how to perform all the songs he has written. He said he has to rehearse to remember each song. I'm sure he can perform most at anytime but he has written hundreds of hit songs.

I’ve always felt that the Beatles and their songs do something special to a persons soul, also there seems to be a song for every emotion or for most of life’s human condition. This music has stood the test of time and in many ways just continues to get better and better!!
