I think, technically the lion hunted your party. First he sniffed your party. Next your party moved into his territory and finally after walking through the fog the lion ambushed your party. :)

Lol gotta love hunt phase event damage! I lost a survivor during a hunt phase one time. It’s what makes this game so crazy and unique.

2 thoughts, first; bad luck getting the "good" result in the fog event. If you had gotten lost, the lion might have been moved away with the second event. Second; I'd recommend placing "less valuable" party members in the lead during the hunt when possible. You don't want to lose your most heavily armed and armored characters to a fluke die roll, and if the fates favor you, you'll have a more balanced party and lower risk to boot. Not backseat gaming, just something to consider. Do what you think is the most fun, it's your game after all.

I really appreciate the all the help! I haven’t made it though the game yet so with everyone’s help we might just make it. You bring up a very good point about using a less powerful character. I definitely will use this strategy in the next hunt phase. Thanks so much Griff.

@@MeetMeAtTheTable Not really spoilers, since you've seen the cards, but the Ammonia advancement is very important. Once you have a character with 3 understanding, they should lead on Lion event cards when possible. It's a gamble, but one worth considering down the line.

Short but still exciting! I love the three-tiered gameplay (showdown, settlement, hunt) of KDM and wonder if other, similar games like Oathsworn and Aeon Trespass also have three tiers or only two...

I do love the different aspects of the game. That’s a good question. I’m excited for both Oathsworn and Aeon Trespass I kickstarted both of those games we will see how they play out don’t worry you will see a playthrough of both here. Im getting excited for both of those games.
