Hey Quasi, I would advocate for the NC750X, as I bought one last month. It is my first big bike. I chose it over the Rebel because I liked the style. I came from an ADV160, so it’s taking me a bit to get used to the weight difference, but that’s made easier with the low center of gravity. I’m working on setting it up for trips, with Shad racks and cases. I also went with Givi engine guards. In my area of SoCal, the NC was a very hard bike to find so I placed a deposit November 2023 and just got it February 2024. But it was worth the wait. The only thing it doesn’t have that I wish it did, is cruise control. I have actually been following your channel since last summer when I got into riding with a Navi and saw all your Navi content. So in a way, I feel like you’ve been a part of my journey. Thanks Quasi.

Oh I don't know. I have less than 300 mi on my 2024, NC 7 50xd and I really like it but I'm wondering if it is the right bike for me. It is tall. I'm 73 years old and have trouble getting my leg over it every time. Maybe I should practice using the footbed.

That NC750X is looks great!!! I almost bought one from Wild West a few years back but after comparing performance, mpg and price, I ended up with the 500X. Enjoyed seeing those classic bikes too!!!!
@QuasiMotard8 ай бұрын
Agreed! That's exactly what happened for me while deciding between the 2014 CB500X and 2014 NC700X. The CB500X has a larger fuel tank and roughly the same fuel economy, so it runs longer than the NC700X. The fuel tank is also problematic to access if you travel with a rollbag on the back seat; you need to unstrap your luggage to refuel the NC every few hours. The DCT was rumored to be glitchy back then, so that made me steer clear of the automatic. I rode the manual NC back to back with the CB, and the engine character was MUCH better on the CB. I lost count of how many times I banged off the NC's rev-limiter in just a 10-minute test ride. It felt like I was riding a diesel or the engine was stuck in limp mode. The newer 750 engine and the evolved DCT are a good fit for each other... low-rev'ing, torquey, and relaxed. The DCT keeps you out of the rev-limiter no matter how hard you try to abuse it. The NC's tall and wide seat was a little uncomfortable for me compared to the CB. Both bikes had almost identical "official" seat heights, but the added width of the NC made the leg bow chew up precious inches of my already-limited reach to the ground. These newer NC750X's are lower and narrower at the waist, so it's easier for me to get to the ground comfortably without doing the one-cheek shuffle. 🤣👍 --QM

Haha thats crazy how we went through the same buying scenario (7 years apart) and yes, at the time I felt that the 750X's seat and/or seat height just wasnt right for me..... @@QuasiMotard

So good to see you out and about Aaron! I'm also in love with the NC, just wish it had cruise control.... I think veridian and MC cruise are developing cruise control for it. It was my first choice before the rebel, but they are so hard to come by....
@QuasiMotard8 ай бұрын
Agreed! The lack of OEM cruise control is one of the only things that puts me off of the NC as an ideal touring bike. The fiddly fuel tank access under the pillion seat is the other detractor. I'll need to unstrap my rollbag to refuel every few hours... that's less than ideal. 😉👍 --QM

Funny thing you were mentioning the NC750X. I just got that bike a few weeks ago. I wanted the Tenere 700 but they were out of stock. The 750X is fantastic. It does pretty much anything and everything(thats not offroad related) and it does it well.

You can't go wrong with the nc750x. My buddy has a 2020, it'll be his last bike. He's very happy with it. I mentioned to you in the previous video, I have chronic low bank pain. I drove his nc750x and it minimalizes my pain. I can drive for awhile ( I still have to take periodic breaks) But the pegs are directly below, so great for bracing myself for the big whoops and dips and potholes of the world. You won't be disappointed. My honda dealer has the 1100 like yours, but when I sit on it I feel pressure on the low back, right down both legs. I'm 6'2, if they just had adjustable pegs and I could bring the bars in further. Oh well, I'm looking at a 23 vstrom 800 DE nows anways.😊

*Update* Put a deposit on a 23 vstrom 800de, will sign the papers & get it delivered when the hard panniers that I ordered with it arrive at dealer. 😁

Alright. Quasi is riding and meeting up again. Love it. A bit unrelated my dude, but what was the name of those tires you got for the Hunter to get rid of the tracking issues you were facing on interstates? I am looking to upgrade, and can’t remember what you said you went with.
@QuasiMotard8 ай бұрын
Howdy, Mike! The Hunter's terrible tracking was resolved with the Michelin Road 6 front tire. I only rode about 30 miles on it before the bike was totaled, but the Road 6 definitely cured the wandering and tracking in rain grooves. Those CEAT tires suck on Houston roads. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

Does the frunk on the NC750X hold a full face helmet? Great looking bike!
@QuasiMotard8 ай бұрын
The NC750X frunk is reported to hold a full-face lid, but I suspect that it depends on the manufacturer. I wear L and XL modular helmets, and those usually don't fit in top boxes and trunks that are advertised to fit full helmets. Hopefully, I can test ride the NC750X and try a few scenarios with it. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

I presume he deleted the original comment, so the thread disappeared. I have the original comment and replies in my Gmail account, but I haven't seen yours come through. If you have restricted words or cursing (e.g., F-bombs) in your replies, then YT automatically quarantines it for review... it can take a few hours before I see them. @@QuasiMotard Good to know. I will email you my original reply to see if that's why it was scrubbed. I was trying to lend a bit of support as a fan who appreciates your efforts. I basically told him to him to mind his business because he was slandering you regarding the accident injuries, recovery, insurance, lawsuit, and lots of other issues that are frankly none of his (or my) damned business. He seems fixated on your NOT NEW 2020 Honda Accord and your house. WTF? You seem too nice to tell certain people to F off, even when it's justified.
