Meg Mucklebones - Awesome monster design - Legend - (1985) - "Indeed I do!" - Retro Nostalgia

This is a short clip of the swamp creature Meg Mucklebones from the movie Legend. Released: 1985
In a film full of fantastical moments this scene is still my favorite. Meg Mucklebones herself is just a side character that shows up for like 3 minutes in the movie. In fact, she dies in the same scene she is introduced.
That may be partly why this monster is so impressive. In any other Horror or fantasy movie this chick could be the main baddie. I think she should have had her own spinoff films. I want to see her fight a xenomorph or something lol
The best part of her dialogue has got to be when Jack asks if she intends to eat him and she shrieks "Indeed I do!" with such delight you just can't help but like her. My friend Justin and I used to go around saying Indeed I do! in her voice as a response to just about anything we could back in High school =D
Also I wish we could have seen her lower body. During the scene water is splashing like she's got a big floppy tail but you never get to see it.
I don't own the rights to any of this footage and I have no intention of monetizing this video in any way. I'm simply a fan and have always loved this movie. I merely want to show a cool, possibly forgotten moment and character. YT says the copyright holder allows this content to be used even though it was claimed, so I'll be finding out I suppose.

Hell yeah man! Well I learned some stuff thanks to your comment =P This particular monster was designed by Miles Teves, the design was based on Jenny Greenteeth the River Hag from English folklore. Robert Bottin is also credited with the creature designs from Legend like Tim Curry's badass Satan costume. Absolutely looks like it could have been a Tom Savini creation for sure!

Legend is without a doubt 1000 times better with the Tangerine Dream soundtrack.... especially this scene. its completely different without TD, its not near as good and to be honest I've never watched the whole movie under this soundtrack but from just the few scenes ive seen throughout the years i stand by my above first statement
