I REALLY wanted the 414, unfortunately it was a bit out of my range, so I went with a 224 with the Koa. Not as many decorations as the 414 but when I play it, I miss NOTHING! Lovely video!

Thanks for sharing your favs. Been wanting a taylor for ages, mainly for playability. My 214 just arrived yesterday, even though I was expecting it to look plain, it still looked nice, and I was surprised it was still very loud and kept up with my dreadnought aria volume wise. It has slightly more of a mid to high sound to it but if you play the bass notes with the right gusto, they come out rich, bassy and very rewarding.

great demo and instruments!! my personal Taylor is a 615 which is the old Taylor Jumbo Guitar with Maple B+S. It has been kicked out of the Taylor Portfolio by the 618. But I really love it. It sounds great esp when strummed imo and I really love the old Taylor Jumbo Shape with the narrow waist. I hope one day Taylor will decide to do that shape again and would love to see what Andy Powers hands could get out of this shape. But anyway I loved the guitars that you have demoed

I’ve been a Taylor convert for several years now. Andy Powers is a guitar genius. As chief luthier and now president and ceo of Taylor, the future looks bright for the company. I have an AD22E and a GT urban ash. I like small body guitars and Taylor does a great job of getting a big sound out of small guitars. I like your playing Meg!

I am A true Taylor guitar lover,I used to play nothing but Martin guitars but a father and son came to church with Taylor guitars saying they prefer Taylor over martin well I thought they were crazy until I actually put my martin D35 against there's ,The Taylor blew the Martin out of the world ,so now I have seven Taylor guitars and I found a 1980 Martin D-28 that's the best playing martin I've ever heard still I love it but it's not the love I have for any of my Taylor's,I bought every Taylor brand new and I've tried and played every high end guitar you can name and the Taylor always beat them in playability and in sound and I'm talking really expensive guitars, my Taylor guitars I own are 2015 614 ce which I would never sell or get rid of and a 2015 816 ce I won't part with ,A 2018 814ce DLX v brace which I absolutely love this guitar,A 2019 614ce Builders edition v brace which is a beautiful and beautiful sounding totally different from the 2015 614ce and again I love this guitar and a 2015 914 ce that totally blew away a Martin D45 that I got rid of and a K- 24 ce v brace that is so beautiful I hate to even get outta the case it's all Koa Wood and it is a sound that actually is breathtaking and t he en I have a baby Taylor whick is a great be guitar , Believe me I've had several Martin D35S several D28s and a D45 and I'm not bashing martin but the only martin I've ever kept is this D-28 which I won't part with but outta Gibson's and guilds I've owned and other brands I choose Taylor over any of them Taylors are expensive but if I'm gonna pay thousands for a guitar I'm trying a bunch out and that's what I did and Taylor took my heart and this is my own experience ,I absolutely love the Taylor sound and the way they play to me there the best of the best

Taylor has Andy Powers which is a great advantage over other guitar makers. He’s a genius when it comes to guitar design. He’s responsible for V class and C class bracing. I have two GS minis and a GT urban ash. The GT has a big sound that belies its size. It’s the most comfortable guitar I’ve ever played. This is my favorite guitar!

I bought the K26ce and I love it. Being a left handed player it is nice to know that Taylor will make you any of their models left handed at no additional charge. And unlike Martin, my Taylor is made in California, it says so right on the serial number sticker. My left handed Martin was made in mexico and there are some real problems with it.

I have a 2002 and 2020 714ce - both of which are wonderful to my ear (& eye). I do think the new V bracing is a nice and recognizable improvement.

The 2002 sounds much better than the new v class. Richer and more overtones than the v class. The v class is better for recording because of note separation making it a dream for sound engineers to work with. But in terms of pure acoustics, the x class is still the king.

They are beautifully-made guitars BUT I don't like it that the neck piece is made from three bits of wood, not one as on a Martin

Indian rosewood isn't rare; pretty much every major guitar builder is using it right now. Not sustainable, as I understand it, but plenty of it at the moment. You may have noticed that Taylor have replaced ovangkol with Indian rosewood for the back and sides of the 400 series. I suspect it's Brazilian rosewood you're thinking of, the harvesting of which is banned.

Bear in mind this lady is selling Taylor guitars. It’s her job. She’s not going to mention their lightweight, tinny sound, or that V class bracing is a gimmick. Taylor are big on marketing and people fall for it. This is an example of it.
