Oh god I remember the BTR's from the Modern Warfare Series they always came out of nowhere and frightened the hell out of me, but this sets a great build that I actually might buy because of the detail and building techniques

it's amazing to see how far mega blok sets have come. I remember for example the older halo sets, where pieces wouldn't fit right or were warped. but I think mega bloks have come a long way and are really making some cool and quality sets.

+LMI I got mine at TRU during their sale last week. Shelf price said $80. I'm almost done with mine but seem to be missing a few pieces I had to work around. Should finish mine later after going and getting Lego Mystery Machine. May hunt for the upcoming jet fighter set. Will see what other ones I find.

***** How 'bout I just answer this for you JANG? Everywhere in the world, all the sets cost different values, based on how much it costs to ship and the actual price, (So the store can make a profit) And just the overall location of the place.Megabloks just doesn't randomly ship; They (I believe) Go from Canada, fist, to Washington, Oregon, California, so an and so forth. And Then, at the same time, they also send it to companies (Like BA Toys) A shipment, earlier than the state would get it, to help that company. EDIT: 'bout* (It said 'bput, xD)

***** Another thing, is when the companies buy the shipment. The availability Goes through each state (I believe) And then the toy companies/any company that buys it. So, let's say they DID release and MI-24, There is a possibility that he couldn't get it, because none of the companies have gotten it yet. While that is highly unlikely, it still is possible.

Just for future reference, a gun that goes up and down like that has "Gun elevation" and "Gun depression" characteristics. So it can elevate or depress the gun ;)

I just finished building this set realized that I spent my most of my time separating the small pieces into piles. I wish Mega Bloks would just use Lego's modular building method and give us numbered bags for building their sets. Does Lego have a patent on that or something?

+1Stunna2323 From what I have heard, yes, LEGO does have some exclusive legal claim to numbered & ordered packaging in brick-based building toys. It sucks. I'm very efficient at sorting and it takes me around an hour to prepare for a signature series build. Other manufacturers appear to be crippled by this as well, and only consumers lose in the end.

This set looks amazing. This is pretty much a model set, since it replicates a real BTR 80 so well. Downside is its $80 price tag, I think it should've been at least $50-$60 instead. Anyway, great review for a great set! I wonder what vehicle is next from Mega Bloks? Perhaps a Hind?

See the lights on the front bye the shields, they are supposed to be red. Play mw2 the mission Wolverines and go next to the btr80 in the beginning. But you can always change it. Just saying :)

maybe you could call one of the figures frost because we never se frost in a 2nd or 3rd person view only in a 1st person view so that pretty much means 1 of the 2 unknown figures could probably be frost (in your imagination)

I really want to like this set but I had so many issues with the one I got. The thin part of the main gun barrel wouldn't fit in the larger cylinder it goes into and snapped on me when I tried to remove it, a 1x2 plate was missing, one of the small gun barrels was warped, and Soap had horrible face printing. Just disappointing...

FloyDZeD That's bad. To experience one of those issues is annoying, two is very aggravating, all of them together in a single set is just unacceptable. Please be sure to contact customer service and get them to send you replacements for every single piece that you need.

JANGBRiCKS how were you able to build this in 3 hours??? How did you divide the bricks up? It's so frustrating searching through 950+ bricks of the same color. And how did you interpret the colors? A lot of the time there are pieces that are labeled black, but turn out to be more of a grey color, like the floor of the interior.
