Played this game when I was a kid. I was so happy when I beat the champ Nuke, but the real challenge after that is to drop your power points down and fight each guy to a decision win after the 3rd round. Completely different scenes. The one after decision winning Nuke is most rewarding.

This game was so amazing when it came out. The only other game that was like it it was Night Trap. I was in awe when I watched my big brother play it. I was only nine years old, but I remember it like yesterday.

If "Prize Fighter" had the gameplay of "Punch Out" it will be the best boxing game ever. The performance of the actors is a great fun to watch and the making of at the end is very nice.

There's always something special about the FMV games for Sega CD. I can't explain it. Sure they weren't the best games but you have to give credit to Digital Pictures for trying something that wasn't really attempted too much at the time (if at all). Also, enjoyed the appearance of Michael Buffer even though someone already mentioned it.

This game was fun and a pain in the ass at the same time. It's just like Slam City With Scottie Pippin where you have to play over and over to know WHEN to punch and block. The best trick I can tell you for most of the fighters was I put my power points into left hand and stamina...left the right arm weak. Except for T-Rex....Put all power to your right hand. Everyone else you can southpaw to death.

I remember playing this game at Montgomery Ward (before it went out of business) on a Sega CD demo back in 1995 when I was like 9. I didn't know what the fuck I was doing at the time and couldn't get past Honeyboy. This is my first time reliving that horrible nightmare.

Some Sega CD FMV games were definitely bad even taking them for what they really are though I still appreciate the games. The rest, well, they're entertaining and fun for a bit as long as you can stand a play, then you kind of lose interest and move onto the next game. Sega CD really was trashed harshly in my opinion. Sonic CD, Flashback, Pitfall, Panic, and the unreleased Penn and teller game were great games. I still need to burn the rest and play them on my Sega CD console sooner or later.

Say what you will about this game (LPs of SegaCD games invariably draw the AVGN crowd) but it was actually pretty decent, a little stiff on the controls but even then still better than most other boxing games....the acting was cheesy but in a kinda awesome way. This game and the jurassic Park adventure game were the two games that came free with the US release of the X-Eye console version. (the genesis/CD single unit combo)

Its more or less on rails. You just dodge and block punches, then find the right timming for your body punches/headshots and the upercut which is difficult to get in. 6 button controller makes it easier too as each shot type is on a button.

Pretty decent long takes for the pref fight shots. Looks like they couldn’t figure out how to get the camera through the ring boundary otherwise I’m pretty sure they would’ve done it in all in one shot.

I have played Road Avenger (need to buy an actual complete copy). Never heard of the others so I'll be on the lookout next time Play N Trade has some Sega CD games. Who honestly thought Night Trap was a good idea? I blame that game! Was Night Trap supposed to be marketed towards kids? I don't remember playing. Maybe teenagers I could understand because of the sexy outline...? Adults? Maybe a laugh or two from the terribleness. Also why did Sega allow Night Trap to be remade for the 32X? Why?!?
