Taz is the best. God I used to play the shit out of this game. And I am probably not the only who has just stood there and held spin button just to listen to the whirling sound :P

Longplays are ok, since it shows the game from beginning to end, usually the player collecting all health items in the level. Not everyone is good enough to do these longplays, so congrats to the longplay posters.
@Benjamillion13 жыл бұрын
i suppose i should leave a comment as how frustrating the game was so here goes... in all honesty, i wasn't fond if this game. i know it borrowed the same gameplay mechanics from taz-mania, the game before it, but it left you thinking about the game design in general. like in some stages, the health items are left in the most ridiculous spots, like a turkey being next to an alien creature that shoots projectiles, or a burger in the same type of spot. and some enemies are indestructible as well!
@raggedystar82558 жыл бұрын
Used to be one of my favourite games as a kid, but the controls were always too floaty and slippery - difficult to get precision jumps off and controlling Taz while he was spinning was incredibly hard xD Still a fun game though! Never got past the mole level either

@Twiztedgoalie I also thought the drill part of this game was absolutely impossible when I rented this game at Blockbuster Video and thought that Sega put that level in to make children extremely angry and want to kill Sega.
@WeskerSega12 жыл бұрын
Some HeadGames former staffer should go back and explain that. They would have been better putting other kinds of weird planets rather than Earth locations randomly placed. I mean, it's easier for Taz to simply go to Tasmania from Mexico or the Haunted Castle rather than doing all the returning to Mars only to go back to Earth once again.

@@Bloodreign1 Pink Panther and X-Men 2 are the other two Head Games did for the Genesis. Ecco was done by Novatrade who are now Appaloosa.
@WeskerSega2 ай бұрын
@maxiethefox8546 Nope. Most of the Looney Tunes games on Mega Drive, Master System and Game Gear were licensed by Sega themselves, including this one. The Looney Tunes on SNES, NES and Game Boy, on the other hand, were the ones licensed by Sunsoft.
@WeskerSega2 ай бұрын
@@Bloodreign1 The Ecco games were done by Novotrade/Appaloosa in Hungary. HeadGames was located in San Francisco, and aside from this game, they did Pink Panther in Hollywood (in this case, for TecMagik), and then started to work for Sega of America doing Wacky Worlds and then this game and X-Men 2 Clone Wars. In these latter cases, they had to do sequels for games they didn't develop in the first place (Taz-Mania was by Recreational Brainware and X-Men was by Western Techonologies) but Sega of America clearly advised them to mimick their graphical and gameplay styles.

Looking at this game now. I dunno how the hell I beat it without cheating or quicksaves. I ruled.
@epicon62 жыл бұрын
It's because back then games were played with a different mindset than now. If these games were as games are now, that the player would have infinite lives/saves it would take 20-60 minutes to finish most Genesis/Mega Drive games and there would be nothing memorable about it. So the life/length of the games came from slowly learning it. If they were fast to play through no one would have bought games but rented the games and finished them in one night. Back then it was all about enjoying the whole process and being rewarded for hard work, knowing it will take weeks or months or even years to finish. And we weren't as spoiled as people are now with tens of thousands of games to choose from. And playing classic games now it's easy to get frustrated because we easily forget that we used to spend a ton of hours on these games to be able to finish them.
