I had this one. This was VERY polished for such an old game. Will treasure this forever. BTW there's like a big super move with the right key combination for each character. Like for Mars I think it was down right up + some kind of attack button.

A great Beat Em' Up with an equally great soundtrack. One thing that I never knew until now, the sound composer was Aki Hata... If you're a Love Live fan, this should ring a bell because she's the lyricist for most of the songs in that anime. It's no wonder why the music is so great.

xOmniCloudx In 1995, both Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball were brought over to the US in the wake of Super Sentai under the name Power Rangers, but they did poorly and they wouldn't make a comeback until the late 90s when Pokemon would begin airing in 1998 on Kids WB and both Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball would air on Toonami part of Cartoon Network.

As someone who was an avid gamer throughout the 90s, I think I now see the reason why Sega never released this in the U.S. in the 90s. The game feels similar to the already-localized Streets of Rage of that time. My younger sister and I used to watch the TV show too back in the day.

Then you didn't play the MD game, as it has no co-op at all as it is a 1 player game only. You either played the SFC one, or Sailor Moon R, also on SFC, they both have co-op mode.

This game is disturbing. The so-called hero goes around beating up people in weird costumes, vandalising phone boxes, cars and other stuff for no reason and then proceeds to hurl people to their deaths from an elevator.

I just love this game I have it on a emulator it is awesome just in the first stage of the game you are smashing jeeps and telephone boothes and throw bad guys out of the window of the elevator shaft down to there deaths wow Sailor Moon is just as much a badass as the Michael Keaton Batman from Batman 89 and Batman Returns and she fights clowns too just like Batman and I also beaten the hidden final stage with the help of cheat codes of course and this game is beyond AWESOME!!!

Aesthetically perhaps, overall design, no. It is a nice looking game, with some good music, but it plays not so good. When enemies can attack you before you can attack them, and they possess no weapons, that's a big problem.

this was 12 years ago. damn! You know there's a cheat with sailormoon and mars. You can stun lock the bosses by grabbing them and then hitting the attack button twice, pause, wait for the grab animation to refresh, then hit the attack button twice again... rinse, repeat. i remember that i love using mars because of it,. It wont work with the others though.

By no means is it rare, just horribly overpriced. This is why games get expensive like they do, people casually throw out the word rare for everything, and others bite on it, causing a ripple effect, making prices skyrocket. And fools overpay, instead of letting the seller sit on their game (and perhaps forcing them to sell it for a more reasonable price), and that continues the domino effect to the point of no return.

Ask Arc System Works, they developed this game, yet left out the best feature in belt scroller beat em ups, co-op mode. There was no excuse either, as the 3 Streets of Rage games all have co-op in them.

If you want to pay the $200 price for acopy,there are converters which will allow you toplay the game in a PAL MD withoutissue asthis game is not region locked outside of cart size. In the US we had Game Genie, which works wonders as a region bypass device. The few games that are region locked for the MD, have Game Genie codes that can be entered to bypass the lock.
