Just so I we know we're talking about the same sound effect, but do you mean the one that plays, for example when you free Dixie/Diddy from a barrel? It's pretty different, as I said, the one from DKC2 uses two notes rather of one, plus it's lower pitched and seems to use a different sample (sounds less intense), which aren't causes of the low quality. The sound effect in this bootleg still gives me a DKC feel though, so maybe it's similar to another sound effect?
