Mega Man 2 - Quick Man's Stage Without Using Flash Stopper

This is something I've seen players claim from time to time is not possible to do - beating Quick Man's stage without using Flash Man's Time Stopper. I'd like to note that I don't even think this is all that difficult. I even put the game's setting on "Difficult" and played sloppily and still managed to beat it both without dying and without using the Flash Stopper. I wouldn't even be surprised if some people can do it without using that Energy Tank, though it certainly helps that it's there.
This is not tool-assisted and no cheats were used.
