The richness of the sound in your covers is something else. These pop-inspired ones are especially groovy. All of the chip's properties have turned from a limitation to a powerful tool. If you don't mind, me and a group of fans are working on a homebrew Genesis remake of MM4-6 ("Mega Man The Sequel Wars", we posted a new demo very recently) and I would LOVE to have these renditions in-game - to say they are great is an understatement.

Tfw his Mega Drive covers don't even sound like they're coming from the Mega Drive anymore because they are so CLEAN, they sound more like studio quality recordings. You are god tier sir

Mega Drive sound was always clean (we are skipping hardware problems with some revisions here), because it's FM synthesized (mostly). That was SNES problem to sound muffled and noisy, because of low quality samples used to meet sound chip memory and transfer speed limitations. But as for Mega Drives sound limitations were overcomed with good developers, so were the SNES ones, and actually more often for the last one.

@@dm1i Yeah I was more on about the clean drums and instruments, plus his talent for arranging. I would assume if you pop this track and play it back with the real hardware it would get a bit noisier due to the ladder distortion/noise floor. But you get my point
