Mega Man 64- The Legend Begins

Despite not really playing them in any depth until the late 00s, I absolutely ADORE the Legends games! I would even say that they're my two favorite games in the Megaman series overall. I've never actually gotten to play the N64 version of the first game, though, but I'd love to. Maybe some day he'll get off the moon. Some day...

A part of me wonders if they might not include both Legends and 64 in a collection, to pad out the game count. The game you really want to play, though, if you haven't, is The Misadventures of Tron Bonne.

@@ExploDjinn I do actually have Misadventures downloaded on my PS3! I wanna have a Legends replay marathon at some point in the near future, so I'll probably do my first playthrough of Misadventures then!

I only ever played a demo of Mega Man Legends and Mega Man Legends 2 *or* just the latter. I owned The Misadventures Of Tronne Bonne, though due to a combination of forgetfulness and time demands, I barely played it... *...back to the main topic,* I _didn't_ enjoy the demos. *Yet I want to see rmakes of these games.* From what I remember, the biggest issue I had with the demos was the controls, both of Mega Man and the camera. Fix those, smooth out the graphics (keep the style, just with better hardware behind it), and I think this series could take off. *At the very least,* stick this into some Mega Man collection, Capcom! Even if it ends up being one of the more disappointing ports, there are... workarounds for that. If it _actually_ is a stellar port that takes advantage of modern hardware while preserving the original gameplay for those who want it, even better.

They normally do something to make the collections easier on players. While controls would be the ideal, my guess would be something to cut down on grinding or unlocking weapons, though it'd be nice to be proven wrong.

@@ExploDjinn I guess the real question is if Capcom will think there is enough demand and readily available content for said demand. A single _Mega Man Dash Legacy Collection_ with the North American and Japanese versions of Mega Man Legends, Mega Man 64, Mega Man Legends 2, The Misadventures of Tronne Bonne, and the Mega Man Legends 3 Demo is enough for a single title, but not their preferred approach. If they can come up with the right name, though, maybe they can make one volume for Legends and one for Star Force? Of course, I then still want one for the Rockman World games, the Xtreme titles, *Rockman & Forte* and the various miscellaneous Mega Man titles over the years. Here's hoping Capcom makes enough money elsewhere they think they can chance it.

This port is not fun haha the controller fights this game alot, ps1 with tank settings feels better. That’s just me however

There is a setting you can change to make the N64 controls more similar to PSOne, though I still think it controls better in Legends. That said, it's kind of awkward either way.

@@ExploDjinn agreed haha I find the N64 controller is its own worst enemy in most situations
