Listening by ear to the original song, I thought I had the bassline down (Channel 58D36). Now, I'm blown away. It's a lot busier than I thought it was!

It is possible for any old console that had a dedicated sound chip, assuming that a particular game used it for sequenced music. That said, pre-recorded files and redbook audio won't do (unless they were put like Nier Replicant and Automata, as layered tracks, to some degree at least). This game's one example of how powerful the Saturn's Yamaha chip was at the time, more capable than Sony's own one on PlayStation.

This is incredible. Megaman 8 has some of my favorite music ever composed, so hearing it taken apart like this is immensely satisfying. Thank you for going through the effort!

So nostalgic. 💚 By the way, based on how these synths sound, its possible to create all of them (drums including) using Sytrus from FL Studio. These high ends on the plucks resembles a lot like Sytrus and V-Station.

What software did you use for desconstructed music?

I used the following: Yabause emulator (only emulator which can disassemble individual music, also dosent filter the music which is why it may sound different), OBS for audio recording, Wavepad for audio mixing, and Davinci Resolve for video assembly. Make sure to check out my other videos too!
