As someone who loved the MegaMan NT Warrior TCG, let me help you out a bit with the rarities: C = Common U = Uncommon (Grave Only) R = Rare St = Starter Deck (...only found in Starter Decks, I think always a foil) SR = Super Rare (I think foil) UR = Ultra Rare (foil, but stupidly hard to pull) * = Secret Rare (non-foil! Easily mistaken for a Common!) P = Promo (Often foil) T = Tournament Reward (Don't know, never got any XP) The Collector's Info at the bottom of the card is starts with a number corresponding to the set it belongs to (even promos), so it should be a "1", a "2", or a "3". *However,* the Grave expansion contains misprints that start with a "4". The middle characters show the rarity, and the final number is the actual numbering for the card within the set. I don't remember the exact ratio, but it was something like approximately three or four premium (Super Rare, Ultra Rare, *or* Secret Rare) per box. Premium rarities always replaced the normal Rare in a pack, and that is a *total* of three or four Premium cards per box, which I think is part of what killed the game. >_< Decipher was having major issues while trying to release this, so the upside cards are a part of that. Uncommons debuted in this set, and were a godsend to traders; they made Commons a smaller part of the set which made them "less Common" and they created a stepping stone between Common and Rare. Basically, trading Commons was almost pointless before they came along, because the value difference between those and Rares was so severe (barring a few high demand options). All Navi cards are either Common, Starter, or Promo rarities. Tournament Reward cards were, as you'd think, given out at tournaments. The *weird* part is that they require "Level Up" cards to fuel their costs. You earned those by playing in tournaments as well, specifically earning Experience Points. ... *Yes, really.* Level Up cards aren't part of your deck, but sit in a pile off to the site. Some have different art, but that's merely cosmetic. You can have as many as your personal Level allows.

*Addendum:* Do you need a copy of the rule book? I've got a .pdf of it. Oh, and Bass (as a NetNavi) is only available in the Bass Starter Deck. Which might be a pain now, but made it a LOT easier to obtain back in the day.

Negative Legend. Great video yet again. I love all these pack openings for these long forgotten games. I've opened some permanent yes the cards were upside down. You should open a box of buddyfight. Anywhere from it's Tripple D and X series. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the amount of foils and beauty of said foils.
@MetalPharoah6 жыл бұрын
C= Common, UC = Uncommon, R= Rare, SR= Super Rare, UR= Ultra Rare, ST= Starter Rare (usually foil since its unique to the deck), P = Promo and quite a few are VERY expensive, especially Level Up cards which sell for thousands due to how few exist.I helped Decipher with tournaments and design back then so I still have quite the collection of these, and some VERY rare promo cards. I play a SkullMan deck myself, love it! My friends play ShadowMan and IceMan. EDIT: SharkMan and Bass were Starter deck only, as their rarity is ST. That means not able to be opened in-set. All Netnavi's are C that are in the set to make them easier to achieve as its meant to be 1 per pack. Also, the game was created due to the large fanbase that wanted it started. After the NT Warrior block was over (3 sets made a block for this) the next block was going to be based off of X Command Mission series. EDIT EDIT: The packs are not actually suppose to have cards upside down, just that some boxes are like that. It is pretty crazy how many you have received. Also, technically you are suppose to with odds receive 3-4 super rares and 2 ultra rares per box. Also, the game didn't go on because of Decipher canceling every single one of their games EXCEPT Lord of the Rings TCG, which they eventually did as well and went bankrupt due to bad decisions. In reality, this game was INCREDIBLY popular. The turnouts for tournaments were massive, more than we see today for most TCG events. So the backlash was strong.

+PJLincoln Thanks for the history lesson PJ. Also according to the Mega Man Wiki "There was a Navi card of Mega Man X that came with the game Mega Man X: Command Mission" Do you know if that was scrapped or if it actually happened?
@evanallen41826 жыл бұрын
Oh I actually have that card so I can attest it is real
@MetalPharoah6 жыл бұрын
Yep, as Evan said, that card is VERY VERY real and was released along with Zero. Both are EXTREMELY rare and VERY VERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRY expensive cards. They are even moreso rare than Infamous Dr Wily and Dark Cannon which are some of the most expensive tournament promos outside of Level Up cards. The Zero and Megaman X released were meant to be preview cards for the following block to come. There are some fun cards that we talked about, and I could give you an example: Destiny 3 Squadron Force Red Resource Requirements 4 Power Gauge SPEND: Your opponent loses 3 energy or your blast destiny is +6. Lore: Afterwards they went back to Red Alert. Rarity: C Destiny 2 FrogBmb BattleChip Requirements 1 Green Resource Make your character strength +1 for each card in your opponents hand. Rarity: C Destiny 7 Booming Away Red Axle Resource Requirements 1 Axle Emblem 2 Power Gauge SPEND: Discard your hand to make your opponent lose 7 energy. Lore: "It's safe, as long as I'm on the job." Rarity: R Axle, Full Metal Strength: 3 Defense: 0 Blast: 1 Rarity: ST

I'm always interested in what the scene was like during a dead game's heyday. Why can I find barely any articles or discussion of the game? Also, it looks like Megaman X goes for a couple of dollars as opposed to Wily, which is asking $500 (but probably won't sell for that.)

I got into this game because they were at the dollar store. Only set 3. It is a really fun game. The color mixing in decks is great. I just dont like the net navi specific cards. They are too linear always setting up for the same strategy for their corresponding ultra rare. Some of the uncommons were very hard to find in the first place and very hard to get a playset of. Sharkman and Bass netnavi are only available in the starter decks. ( i dont have them) My deck is made from only these packs and I went with magnetman. By reading a forum, apparently woodman was banned or his ultra rare was. Check out the virus cards. You got several in your packs such as bom boy. When you play one virus you may search your deck and play another one from the deck for free. These get to be really fun quickly building up your resources and thinning out your deck. Try going with a navi that has a balanced set of stats for your first navi. For example in the match up with Shadowman having only 1 attack value and woodman having 3 defense, you will constantly have to do so much just to get over their basic defense every turn or else you will do no damage.
@phelancastro48796 жыл бұрын
someone somebody Grave by far has the most gimmicky Navi out of the sets and also has some of the most powerful cards. Grand Prix probably has the least amount of gimmick heavy Navi though it’s pretty notable that Magicmans sorta is just the best. He can get away with actually not running any Navi cards and sorta helped ruin the game.

There's a lot of mechanical overlap between this game and the .//hack CCG.
@googleruinedyoutube47076 жыл бұрын
That's interesting. My girlfriend and I each just got a set, one of each starter and booster box for $35 each. I came to the same conclusion as you, that the navi URs are bullshit - it looks like in every single case, they're way above the power curve, and basically demand four copies. I've read what I could find on the internet, but there's not a lot of visible discussion about the game. I was going to play Woodman, and I hadn't heard about any balance issues. Normally they'd shoot themselves before banning an ultra rare...

Dude I just bought a lot that had all three booster boxes and 6 theme decks sealed for $79. Had NO IDEA this was a TCG until I saw a random eBay listing. That price is a steal! Or a single booster box is like $20. Now seems like a good time to buy since I assume these won't be around forever.

The packs break down kinda consistently I’ve now opened over 20 boxes for this game and each pack has 1Rare or better and 9commons, except in Grave where there is 1-3 uncommons in exchange for the commons. There’s super rares and ultra rares which normally you will get 3-5 in a box and are the only foil cards in the game. You also will probably pull a secret rare (as marked with a *) though the rates on them appear very random as I’ve pulled 4 in some boxes and none in others. Also I haven’t tracked out all of the commons but netnavi become much more frequent as the sets go on. In PowerUp, the first set, you might get two copies of each Navi, while in Grave, the last set, I seem to get at least 4 copies of each Navi.

I've opened all 3 boxed sets and have usually gotten 4-5 holographic cards per box. I also remember getting duplicates in a single pack for the Power UP set I believe... Bottom line is the chances of getting anything good was poor. The game itself was a bit confusing to try to understand how to play with the manual. Despite it being about Mega Man, it's no wonder it failed horribly.

The gun del sol card is an odd inclusion. The gun del sol is the signature weapon of Django the protagonist of the boktai series. The later Battle Network Games featured crossover content with the Boktai games, like bonus weapons and boss fights, but they were inaccessible outside of the japanese games.
