This is the qualitity content I need to see at 2am Today we have pre made functions for trigonometry, in the nes days they had to do everything from scratch. They didnt even have a programming language, and still pulled off a lot of great games. It never ceases to amaze me.

Incredible research ! I thought it was always just my mind playing tricks when I felt some projectiles seemed to go ever so slightly faster than I expected. Turns out that's there's a whole set of mathematical equations behind them. Thanks for the info !

due to this odd quirk being present in 4, i assume you're going to fix/have already fixed this issue for episode red

Well any standard aiming implementation fixes this so I don't think any later official or fangames have this. That said I'll probably replicate this for consistency with the original

Thanks, now I hate MM2 and its Tellies even more because thanks to this video, I have confirmed what that ugly routine I was looking at did exactly and why it was bad and terrible and why one operation in the code I couldn't wrap my head around probably broke it.

Ohh, so if you fired a bunch of projectiles in a "circle" around an entity, they would form a square instead.
