Ironically, in Megaman 7, the english localization team added the line "Die Wily" to Megaman during the aftermatch with Dr. Wily. On the japanese version, he only says "... ..."

He stops because of the first law of robotics, which follows with the X series retconning it into the universe. It likely was added because 90s, the intent is that Rock can't just end a threat because it's a human doing so.

Megaman X4 has a scene where Double goes maverick, and pulls out a light saber and slashes up a bunch of robots. The result is plenty of blood goes flying. And this is in the AMERICAN version of the game (not sure about the Japanese version, as I only have the American version).

Usually "animated blood" as a content description goes along with a "T for teens" rating. This game though was rated "E for everyone", which makes no sense.

megaman x4 is not for nintendo consoles is for the ps1 so that may explain why there is no censored there.

I dont get it, in some version of Megaman Legends they censor a "dirty" magazine but at the begining of the game when you enter the town, Vulnot will recognize a LOT of dirty magazines in a rack... and that he cant read them because someone could see him. So... what the hell?. But yeah, censorship is one of the worst things that happened to videogames, for instance check what happened to the hair of the main protagonist in Azure Striker Gunvolt D: ... C'MON!... their censorship level is at 9000!!!!

+Fury Rage The hair and midriff of Gunvolt! Fortunately, the hair was fixed for all localised releases but the midriff was only brought back for the PC version. I heard there was some changed dialogue in that game, but what is worse is tons of missing voice dialogue which was optional. Their social media account tried to frame a missing option as a bonus.

The difference between Zelda's Cuccos and Mega Man's dogs is that the Cuccos can and will fight back, whereas the dogs don't seem to be able to do so. Guess it's all about karma? Although one should remember those franchises are owned by different companies with different morals.

One you may have missed: according to Gaijin Goomba Mega Man V had Napalm Man completely removed in Vietnam. Why? Well he goes into detail as to why, let's start with the name and weapon used. Napalm, you probably know, was a horrific weapon used in Vietnam that the world condemned and called to be banned, which it eventually was on Obama's first day as President. Now the fauna was modeled after Vietnam. The tiger robots you kill are based on an extremely rare tiger in Vietnam. Most of the level is underground with very narrow tunnels filled with spike traps and some hidden supplies, clearly based on the Vietcong.

Censored Gaming The Mega Man Zero series wasn't the first to show blood(in the Japanese version), There was Mega Man X4 that has blood. Thankfully it appears only in the cutscenes.

I think I could add a few: Mega Man Zero character Hellbat Schilt was changed to Devilbat Schilt. I not sure if it counts but in Mega Man ZX, Project Heaven is changed to Project Haven, though it could be just naming thing, like Serpent Company is changed into Slither Inc. Also, I heard that in Mega Man Legends games you can walk into Roll when she nude by accident and while scene was kept in, MegaMan's triumphant fist pump right after was not. Nevertheless, great video and cool channel overall.

I don't know why people are getting so heated over these changes, honestly the only thing that kind of bothers me is the blood, but I still thought that megaman zero was allready kind of gory. Also I kind of find some of the name and word changes kind of an improvement. Personly I kind of liked how they say they would retire you or something, it kind of became a megaman thing. Also like in yu gi oh I think banishing someone to the shadow realm is more interesting than "i'm going to kill you".
