Kuwanger is a coined word made by mixing kuwagata and warmonger. In japan, stag beetles are called kuwagata mushi. That means a bug (mushi) with a samurai's helmet (kuwagata). So Japanese associate stag beetles with samurai, warrior or warmonger.
