Always liked this level, not sure why but the background looks interesting, a lot of ruined towers, the full moon, the stairs, I am glad they used some of those ideas in X5 in the Izzy Glow level.

The boss is way easier with Zero. I just kept pushing triangle when he creates his copies, the attack just destroys them all and then hit the real Split Mushroom. Then he switches to the other wall, and repeat... :)

A heart tank increases X's max health. So, after grabbing one here at 2:32, the game adds a small portion to the total health meter, but does not immediately fill it for you. make sense? yeah, not sure i explained that the best, but i think you get the idea ;)

@@vasas2.025 i see. sorry. i thought you were one of the many people who insist this is NOT a no damage run because they see the health missing in the end. but they fail to realize i pick up the heart tank and it does not fill the new extended health. ive explained it so many times (see comments below) and not only on this stage but many others too, that i just roll my eyes and get frustrated. im sorry i came across as rude and irritable. and yeah, this fight was a nightmare i remember. he starts out easy enough, kindof mirroring gemini man, then he gets completely unpredictable in his final phase and can pull out different attacks and movements at random. its been a while, but i remember this fight. i usually write my strategies and tips for the bosses in the video descriptions, but not for this one. i think i was just so done with this guy, i didnt bother. not much strategy really, just react to his randomness the best you can maybe lol? anyways, good luck. hope you nail the crazy little bastard.
