Mega Man X4: Jet Stingrays Stage- No Damage, Buster Only

Jet Stingray's stage, the Marine Base, from Mega Man X4 for the Playstation PSX. No damage taken, buster only (Stock Charge) speed run. Here X pursues Jet Stingray on a land chaser, and therefore we engage in zero platforming. The stage seems relatively short, though it's quite easy to encounter instant death via platform pinning or pits. Stingray will often dash across the screen with a good deal of speed, and i found it best to hover in designated safe spots to consistently avoid this. His stingray drones are easily disposed of with a single buster shot. These drones are definitely reminiscent of Search Snake. Frost Tower is Jet Stingrays weakness.

I want to know why they changed his “Yeeeahhh!” in the reboot. In the original (which this video is from obviously) his voice was doubled where it sounded like two voices at once. The reboot is similar but sounds singular, too clean. It was weird to hear that.

i will never forget how this stage and theme reminded me of contra hard corps this whole stage felt perfect just badass as hell super anime as fuck x4 is so good the zero run absolutely was grueling tho especially the last boss def was a git gud moment to beat the game w zero

This stage sucks. There’s no stopping no matter what you have little time to see the heart tank and a sub tank. And if you die you’re going to have to start from either the beginning of the first or second half depending on which half you’re on.
