Don't care that it's become popular to hate X6 these days, I still love this game.

All X games in general, and Mega Man games as a whole for that matter, are still very solid if lacking in originality and having the occasional lapse in quality. Given that Inafune and some other veterans of the series did *zero* for this game and the one-year deadline, X6 is brilliant. The parts system makes sense unlike X5's, I like the Nightmare and stage concepts (even if they're annoying in gameplay, *Blaze Heatnix*), and the power-ups are solid if clumsy to use at times (I'm looking at you, Mach Dash). It's just hard to follow up a truly brilliant game like X5 and not expect people to be disappointed, but there were just some ideas that were implemented poorly. Same goes for X7, and I think that game's development deserves more ridicule than X6 because Capcom spent more than 2 years on it and some veteran developers returned to help out.

@@GintaPPE1000 I wouldn't dare to call X5 "brilliant". Nostalgia overloaded maybe, but game was so easy and its backtracking was so tiring it's not funny nowadays. X6, while VERY hard and sometimes a bit unfair (still nothing that some memorization can't solve, even for stuff like the Mother Nightmare) feels like a rewarding game that actually tried to change the formula for the better. X7 is a shitwreck, though.

@@TheTrueBro I honestly like X7 more than X6, because I at least have fun with X7. Even though X7 has the reputation of being the worst in the series (for a good reason), it's still actually not that bad as people say. While X6, on the other hand, really isn't fun. I can't have fun nor laugh at a game if the game itself is edgy to unimaginable levels and constantly tries to be serious and that actually focuses on a style that has been used five times before. X7 > X6 at any given time.

Daibuman having fun with X7? You are the first one that says that. For me, X7 is what's keeping me from get the MMXLC2 platinum. I finished X6 in one session with a smile in my face, and unlocked almost all the trophies while doing so. Heck, even while trying to beat the Nightmare Mother, as hard and sort of frustrating as it was, at least I got a great sense of accomplishment after beating it. With X7... I had to let 2 months pass before I could retake it. And still, with its horrible controls, terrible camera and flawed gameplay mechanics, I had to let the collection alone again. Yes, a single game stopped me from playing an entire collection.

Both of them are obviously not flawless, but I can at l can at least respect a game that sucks because it tried something new more than a game that literally re-uses the same formula and fails horrendously both level design-wise, boss-wise and lore-wise (I respect way more a silly X game than a "ultra edgelord style" X game) and difficulty-wise (aka Artificial difficulty =/= Actual difficulty, see Ground Scaravich and Gate Stages.)

I literally knew nothing about X6 besides this song, and while the intro lacks the grandeur of the original, it makes up for it by replacing that hackneyed synth lead that it suffers from, and for that I am much happier.

Captain Haggard X6 has the best soundtrack in the X series, one of the 5 best in all of Mega Man, and one of the best ever. Full stop. Also had great bosses and art style... shame the level design was nnnnot as good.

Captain Haggard Kinda. The levels are not randomly generated. Hazards (blackouts, fireballs, bugs, rain) however, are. X5 had the bosses named after the Guns and Roses, so the credibility has little to do with that... I mean, you could fight Fuzzy Kitten and you'd have fun so long as the stage was well designed, lol. The issue with X6 is that they didn't give a fuck about _where_ to place enemies... or _spikes_. Sweet lordy, the amount of spikes and pits 6 has is atrocious.

I often have trouble deciding whether I like this theme or Blaze Heatnix's theme better. While this doesn't help my dilemma, I'm pleased to hear such a fantastic remix of this song. The bassline really keeps this song going, and the lead is just freakin' awesome. Loving the heavy percussion, too.

lordkiku2 Yeah, it's mediocre and not memorable (minus the ones I mentioned before, those are _great_ ). It still has more good songs than X3, but that's not saying much, lol. What baffles me is that X7 had _nine persons_ working in the sound department and they still weren't able to make a soundtrack half as good as the rest of the games in the series. IMO, of course.
