No Man's Sky is like Minecraft in that you do walk around and collect materials and craft tools, but the core of Minecraft is creating structures/monuments/villages/whatever you can think up. The core of No Man's Sky is just collecting the materials and upgrading things you already have.

Eric is completely right. Even without multiplayer, I thought I could pop in some Vangelis, dim the lights and order pizza, manually enhancing the atmosphere and mood of the game. Maybe start a Steam group based off of Asimov's "Foundation", and track things like an actual captain's log. But "Space Minecraft" is exactly all I see in the game after having watched people play it. If I were to buy it for full price (again) or on sale, it would be purely for shallow A E S T H E T I C .

Look, I'm not defending the guy that drove miles and miles to see Suicide Squad... BUT if you watch the three official trailers for the film, there was A LOT of things in the trailers (and TV spots) that didn't make it into the film. I'm not talking like one or two things, closer to twenty. Whether it was extended things, or scenes entirely cut out. At what point is it considered false advertising when I go see a movie and half the things advertised for it weren't in the film?

Honestly I thought you all (especially Rocco) was going to absolutely HATE No Man's Sky. It's refreshing to see some more conservative opinions other than all of the "OH MY GOD WORST GAME EVER MADE" and "PEOPLE WHO DON'T LOVE THIS GAME ARE ALL TASTELESS LOSERS" that I have been hearing for two years since they showed that first trailer. Frank brought this up briefly, but the game was definitely made for a niche group and I honestly wish Sony hadn't gotten involved and blew it up as the be-all-end-all video game of our generation because it all just ended up making a lot of people really upset about the game and is bringing down a lot of really undeserved anger on Hello Games from people who really should be upset with Sony, if anybody. The issues on PC are a definite issue that need to be addressed but I wish people would be more mature about displaying their discontent in general.
