Actually you know what. After watching the episode. This is a blank canvas. You can do anything and light it differently as time goes on. Can easily change the mood & feel of this set. I know I was sassing, but Damn. On Second thought hella good pick. You got a block of clay you can mold any way you need. Also the "desks" are a smart ass idea. Having a space on podcast to display merch.

Derrick’s dedication to keep the podcast to an hour always makes me laugh. Everyone else is always like “bro, it’s not a big deal, we can be over an hour” and then he tries to end it close to an hour every time. Definitely best when he ties the whole show together like he did tonight.

Maybe it’s related to how since it’s so brushed off every time because Johnny will take of it that it can come off as insensitive to Johnny. Derricks been vibing closely with Johnny ever since he joined. I remember podcasts in the 400s Derrick would always defend Johnny or compliment him a lot. I think derricks push on keeping the podcast 1 hr is due to standing up for Johnny. Even if Johnny has no problem with it (as far as we know)

It's funny because I've been going backwards through their podcasts and I'm in a period where there's a lot of tension between Derrick and Shawn because Shawn was getting grumpy whenever the podcast went over an hour and that really pissed Derrick off because he didn't think there should be a limit on how long they go for 😂

I spent the majority of 2020 in downtown Denver. The homeless situation kinda ruined the area for me. Taking my dog on 3 walks per day meant that I encountered around 5-10 homeless people per day. Usually 1-2 high/crazy/screaming/threatening ones, 3-5 that just kept to themselves, and then 3-5 that asked for change or cigarettes. I was always on edge because of the crazy ones and it made me want to completely avoid all homeless people. Sometimes someone would come up to ask for change or cigarettes and if you said that you don't have anything, they'd yell at you or call you a piece of shit. One lady asked for cigarettes (I don't smoke) and she threw like a soda on the ground next to me and called me a bitch because she was so mad. There were 2 in particular that I encounter often however and they were extremely kind. They'd ask for change and if you said no, they'd say "no worries" and "have a good one man". I encountered them often enough that I started carrying change and spare bills in my wallet to give to them when I saw them and they were always extremely thankful. It's really sad that homelessness is such an issue but the mean one's give them all a bad name. Almost everytime I saw a homeless person ask someone else for change, the person would completely ignore them (which I don't blame them for - some will follow you around if you give them any attention) but I think people would be much more willing to give if they were more like the 2 nice ones that I encountered.

You are very much entitled to your assumptions: They'll spend money on booze & drugs, they're there by choice due to bad life decisions, etc, whatever other nonsense, but here's the thing: If you treat them like lesser & decide not to support them as a result of your assumptions, that's *on you.* You're opting to lord your financial privilege over them due to assumptions you've formed for no other reason besides prejudices against homeless people.
