It was nice to hear the con talk. I help run a convention in Michigan, and we would have these big time guests invited for the first couple years of running it. However, we were losing some money on it because we had to cover their charge for being there because there weren’t enough people who bought their stuff, so we stopped having them come. Once we did that, A LOT of people stopped wanting to come because of that and complained we didn’t have them anymore. We still had the amazing vendors, the sick game room, and live game shows, but apparently only came for the guests. It’s our #1 complaint, and I’ll never get it. Thankfully the 2nd con we run is a horror convention with an international film festival attached to it as well!

Y'all may already have learned but the green tint is a quirk of the DVD/Blue-ray releases. There are YT videos that analyze the original theater master without the tint, compared to the post-theater releases. They definitely could have done the tint in the new trailer on purpose with this in mind since it's a key part of the cultural zeitgeist, but it's a cool trivia.

This is a great dynamic. Group of people discussing what's on their minds, what they find interesting or exciting. Even just personal experiences they've had. Very natural and enjoyable to listen to. I wish Mega Strange was a bit more like this, that podcast feels a bit forced and over-prepared (Derrick brings like 10 documents to recite/quote, out of fear there isn't enough to say). Just shooting the sh*t with your friends is a fun experience, even for the listeners/viewers. We just want to hear you talk about what's on your mind. Derrick is very smart, I really enjoy listening to what he has to say, not when he reads from a piece of paper (because that's not his opinion/insight, it's someone else's).
