The setlist is irreproachable. So much material from Three Of a Perfect Pair. I think Belew loves that album, and rightly so.

Saw them in Detroit on Sunday night. Yes, it was incredible & blown away that songs would be played live. Love to Adrian Belew, because if not for him (and Tony Levin) this wouldn't have happened. I just wanted to stand up and dance for at least 3 numbers (Larks' Tongues.., Red, and Indisipline), but could not get the rest of crowd to!

I was there - first dress circle for this show. Saw the original in NYC 40 years ago. I loved the show - Adrian and Tony especially and so happy they were able to put the BEAT tour together. Thanks for posting!!

I really like it. He’s reminding me of Hendrix. I don’t really know about guitar playing. Maybe it’s just his clothes lol. But his playing has this like wild/liberated quality but you can hear where it comes or what it grows out of. I don’t know how to explain it well. I’ve not really listened to a lot of Steve Vai but damn I feel like he shows us his soul here

I was on the floor seating so didn't see the light patterns on the stage. Outstanding show, #21 for them so they are rounded in to shape pretty well. Sky, Larks3 and Indiscipline were stand outs.

As having seen vai at few 3 tours, it was kind of humbling even to myself to see him take a back seat as a rhythm player most the time. And Danny, my favorite drummer, then with the crimson kingslol, it was such a great mix!

It hasn't. I guess you didn't even watch the whole video, because his vocals on Matte Kudasai, Frame By Frame, Waiting Man, Three of a Perfect Pair, Neal and Jack and Me are all flawless. You missed out and are just doing a sour grapes routine. This was one of the best shows I have seen in years.

@@davidryan7386 It was fine for those of us who were there. He also did it for the closer Thela Hun Ginjeet. So what? He isn't trying to act like he is singing them. They are SPEAKING parts. Not singing. It's called narration, look it up.
