It’s weird to me that non-musicians will just sit quietly and not care when someone’s playing a super hard shred lick, but then they go crazy when the performer does like 5 bends of the same note in a row

I would've absolutely lost my shit if you were doing this at my high school talent show. My fucking God that was excellent. I LOVE Marty Friedman's solo work, and you fucking became him, on a fucking high school theatre stage, in front of a bunch of kids who really have to point of reference we when it comes to Megadeth. You did it kid, you knocked my socks off. That was brilliant, AND, unedited. I literally got chills
@mattmaffett58793 жыл бұрын
Marty was the best guitarist Dave ever lost, period. Rust in Peace is, hands down, Megadeth's finest work. This was extremely satisfying to watch. Sadly, my friend, you were casting pearls before swine, and by that I only mean, the audience can't possibly know how utterly badass your fret work actually is. Bravo

As AC/DC once played... "I've got big balls... Oh, I've got big balls... They're such big balls... DIRTY big balls..." Anyone who can get up on stage and even attempt this has my respect. I've written, recorded, and produced my own originals as a one-man band, but no way I could ever play this. "Mankind has GOT to know... its limitations."

Just last December I played Orion by Metallica on bass for my school talent show and it was a terrifying experience, the backing track fucked up, I fucked up the end and then I got told to stop playing because it was too long, it felt really embarrassing being told to go off the stage so I unplugged my bass and ran off the stage Would I do it again if possible, yes I would

I know Mustaine and Friedman trade off but I was still really wishing he'd have played all solos just cuz it looks kinda odd to the uninitiated when they see a dude that can clearly shred on that level playing the rhythm underneath a solo instead of the solo itself. Great work regardless. Just citing the only thing I wished was different.

Love the guy telling everyone this mans bout to play... he was wearing a tie so I’m guessing he’s a teacher... he prolly is lol. Guy must be a metalhead awesome. Really fun to have a metalhead teacher or just a cool teacher in general at school. When I was back in highschool few years ago, one of the custodians was a metalhead and played guitar when he was young. Me and him chatted all the time and he was like my favorite adult in the whole school... and the music teacher he was awesome as well. I’m a guitarist myself. Showed music teacher my skill impressed him and I aced music classes lol too easy. That doesn’t mean the music teacher sucked at guitar lol. He talented himself. When I showed the custodian my skill, he just got off and went crazy it was awesome. I was chillin in the lobby watchin kids walk by (especially the women’s lol) I was playing some Pantera (this love) the clean tone bits of it. I was staring around playing it, then he walked up the stairs and was like HELL YEAH! I kicked on the distortion and he banged like crazy. When I showed everyone my guitar talent I became the school badass. It’s an awesome feeling to jam out and show all the damn modern music loving kids what classic music is and how fuckin awesome it is and that a lot of young people nowadays listen to it because they are turned on to it, or because of their background. I was metalhead since I was young it’s in my blood. lil story lol. AWESOME COVER YOU HAVE BECOME SCHOOL BADASS BUDDEH! GIRLS BE EYEING AT YA ALOT AFTER THAT 🤘🏼🤘🏼
