I do amateur theater and one year I was playing a wife who couldn't cope with her husband not getting rid of the dead body in their bedroom for the last 15 years (a bit hypocritical because she did nothing either). For a character exercise we had to bring a song that explained our characters. I made the whole cast and director listen to Breakpoint for its lyrics. People stared at me and didn't get it. It was so disappointing because it fit so well.

Having Portnoy in 95 after Awake released doing this is incredible. Unless you where alive and into music enough to even know who the hell Dreamtheater was back then you can't fully appreciate how awesome this actually was. Dreamtheater was FAR FAR from famous back then. It wasn't until the Metropolis 2 album circa 2000 DT started getting to the level of mainstream fame you would expect for the drummer of the band to be hosting a mtv segment like this. Hell even back in 2000 most people other than dedicated prog lovers wouldn't have known who Portnoy was back then. Its incredible MTV in 1995 put Portnoy on this story back then. Especially on a segment about Rust In Peace lineup Megadeth with Marty Friedman.
