Never thought it would happen, but Dave's voice sounds better than Bon Jovi's! lol He is sounding great!!!
@jeffbowling88912 жыл бұрын
first comparison I thought of too. So many older bands are still doing their stuff adequate or at a high level. That last Bon Jovi was a mess from his VOX to the bands loungy style in and of itself. Horrific and ruined the energy of the original songs which is the entire point. Jon would been better off just screaming the lyrics. I would have fell asleep.

This video is amazing! I wish pro shot videos were like this too. I don't need 50 camera angles a minute to simulate action. Just film the stage and give me good sound so I can enjoy the concert the way it is. I don't know how you kept this so steady. I never subscribe to anyone, but I'm subscribing to you, my friend. Excellent work. Thank you for sharing!

@vicrattlehead63862 жыл бұрын
...and pro shot videos from festival usually shows drummer during guitar solo and shows bassist during cool drum fills.
@perrycreason80142 жыл бұрын
@taskmaster65 Thank you so much! Each show I try very hard to create the greatest videos I can. My inspiration has always been the pro videos. One angle sometimes shown is the full stage. With just being one person I can’t do multiple angles so I decided to show the full stage and then whoever watches can decide what part of the stage to watch. This can also make for different experiences with different viewings. Originally I started recording videos for myself. I had a traumatic brain injury in 2012 and many memories quickly fade and/or are forgotten unless I have something to remember for them. I started by recording one video at a Mushroomhead show in 2015. It turned out better than I expected so I recorded a few at the next show I went to- Cannibal Corpse. I uploaded them to KZbin so I could have access to watch them anywhere and months later I saw other people had watched too. I was so shocked! Why would anyone want to watch my videos? But then I took it on as a project to make the best videos I could, not just for myself but others as well. I thank you so much for subscribing especially if you are very picky about who you subscribe to. I cherish each sub and hope you will stay with me through the long haul! I attend different types of shows but metal shows are my favorites and by far most typical but you can see this from my past. I try to keep my bio updated at the end with future shows I plan to attend. I guarantee there will be a show you don’t care about but I can nearly guarantee that soon after there will be one you will enjoy. @bill D Thank you for appreciating the audio. I try to keep my hand so I not only doesn’t restrict the sound but so that it helps bring in the sound from the PAs. I keep my hands and arms steady with practice, focus, and resisting any ideas of pain. I learned how to do in 2019. After being diagnosed with cancer I had multiple surgeries and then radiation everyday for 6 weeks after finding it had spread to my nerves. I was in great pain and the only choice I had to cope was to ignore the pain which I continue to do with the daily pain I have. A band goes on, I hold my arms over my head just enough to have a good view to hopefully not restrict anyone’s view behind me any more than needed, hit record, and then just focus on creating the greatest video I can. @Vic Rattlehead Watching pro shot videos (and even before that official DVDs of my favorite bands) I noticed the same thing. I would be in the middle of watching an awesome guitar solo and just wanted to keep watching. Instead they cut to the lead singer stomping around on stage just throwing his hands up then the drummer just keeping the beat while I only hear the solo. Then cut back to the guitarist to only see him play the last second of the solo. Instead of focusing on any one part of the show, I decided to show the entire stage and let the viewer’s eyes be the director, changing by their decision where they look. No, it isn’t a closeup but I try to have only the band or the stage left to right in the full shot making for as close of a look at the whole bands as possible. I try to get the pit in the bottom of the shot but it isn’t my concern what is or isn’t shown with the pit. I have taken criticism for it but the band is my focus and the pit is completely secondary and a by product of showing the band. Thank you everyone for your kind words and compliments. I really appreciate them and am thankful each of you is enjoying what I am making. I will continue to give everything I can to making the best videos I can for as long as I can and hope you will enjoy some more of my videos in the future. Thank you so much for watching!
@skullkap12 жыл бұрын
I hear ya. The "pro" shot vids with 63 camera cuts per second are nerve-racking. Usually gets worse the higher the songs tempo.
@perrycreason80142 жыл бұрын
@skullkap1 Yeah. Instead of me (or the video) creating the “energy” (which the cuts are supposed to simulate) I allow the band to create the energy (or sometimes lack there of). I try to show what it is really like to go to the concert of a band as well as accurately preserve what a band’s show is like at that moment. Sometimes I capture them early before they get big, sometimes at the height of popularity. I try to make it so the viewer can reproduce the concert for their own viewing at anytime. Thanks for watching!

I am glad that others are picking up on this... He has really improved.. He is able to get back to the high notes he hit when he was younger.. And he is singing really clearly as well.. You can make out every word.. Even in the 90s and 00s Dave wasn't always delivering the lyrics cleanly.. This is probably the best he has sounded in like 15 years.. He blew his voice and vocal cords around 2010, there are multiple reasons why.. I think he stopped warming up before shows.. Both vocally and body wise.. Neck, back ect... Its his biggest regret.. Because he has caused himself damage over the years.. He can't headbang like he used to and wants to because of the damage.. Having a neck operation in 2011 to correct some of it.. Then in 2019 There was the throat cancer which again neglect caused more than anything.. Daves attitude to singing is pretty well summed up in the behind the scenes of the making of Risk... The producer says ok Dave time for your vocals and Dave grabbed a bin and spat in it and said ok ready... LOL! I think since his treatment for cancer he has changed things up.. Maybe got a vocal coach to avoid some of the mistakes of the past.. I don't know he got a coach for sure.. But the improvement is noticeable.. I think he has... Because a coach would have focused on getting him to pronoun the words clearer and to avoid straining... There was a lot of straining vocally over the last couple of years and you could see it on his face.. He would cause himself great pain trying to get though the songs.. Now he is feeling really confident in his vocal range again.. Adding The Conjuring into the set again every night shows that.. That song demands high notes for most of the song and he is hitting them.. You'll also notice he is hanging on notes more and even fluttering them, check Trust for what I mean on that.. This stuff is what leads me to believe he did get a coach to really focus on improving in the vocal department.. Just listen to how clearly he is singing the lyrics to The Conjuring man... That song is fast as fuck and hard to play on guitar at the same time.. He makes it look easy. This is the Dave Mustaine we deserve on vocals... I expect the whole Dave can't sing anymore argument to go away.. Because he can.. And is doing better now than he has in years.
