I forgot tapping was a thing and I was trying to play the tapping part by stretching 😂

Thanks! Great to see you back at last with another lesson from my favorite band. Do you think you'll ever do a lesson for Ashes in your mouth? So many great riffs in that song. There is a section that stumps me everytime. Its the seemingly simple galloping open 'E' on the 6 string. Trying to get that rhythm is tricky for some odd reason for me. Anyway if you ever do a lesson for that song that would be killer! :) Keep up the great playing!

I’ll second this! The chromatic riff underneath the solo has given me trouble for years.

Any way you can show us how to play Hell Awaits from Slayer? Thanks

could you please help me out ? how do you increase your downpicking speed and get the picking pattern for songs like Spirit in Black, Master of Puppets ? (i mean the 2 downstrokes on the 6th string and 1 downstroke on the 5th string) By the way man YOU ARE Great , very helpfull Lessions and nice Covers!

Thank you so much dude. Your priority is to getting the picking pattern down so that you can play it perfectly when you down pick. INGORE SPEED! Just play it right as fast as you can without tiring or messing up. If it’s slow that’s fine! The second priority is to make sure you are warmed up. You will suck if your picking hand is not warmed up! Usually takes me about 20 mins of playing… or 4 songs. The speed will come with time and practice.

@@metalbryan101 Thank you very much and i Did what you told me but the reason for my question was i already was able to play it fast enough without mistakes and even faster but then my concentration flies away... after 3 days i got slower and slower without getting to point where i was again... after the last 9 days exactly the same happend to me again and still i dont understand what im doing wrong, i know that my posture isnt right but im still figuring out how to improve it and im tensing up a bit with my right wrist and im learning to control it but that wasnt the case when i started losing speed (after 10 minutes my right shoulder starts to give me first signs of pressure) just for your information i started playing guitar exactly on the 1st day this year :)

@@meteorsouldennis3676 wow . If you’ve only been playing for three months… you’re trying to run a marathon when you can barely walk. You need to get down your basics . Practice running thru scales and laying moderate speed rock. Play repetitive riffs routinely and get thru them each time flawlessly. Your muscles are not ready yet for this type of fast metal. So I bet you can start the riffs ur playing just fine but then ur skill seems to fade and get sloppy. That’s the sign of fatigue. The more you play and practice, the more that goes away. It’s taken me months and months to get my picking hand to not get fatigued playing these kind of songs… even having played for decades. It’s just a muscle thing

@@metalbryan101 Oh Okay, when kerry king showed some riffs he said thats its hard for him to play slowly because he couldnt use his muscle memory and i thought about it a bit but didnt really understood how he meant it 😅 could you please explain it to me, i mean when i want to play i have to stay as loose and relaxed as possible but using muscles sound to me to lock something in place (like my wrist sometimes)

For the lying in state riff end, it's : 0000 33 00012321 You forgot to strum the open D string once. Listen the originale with the minimum tempo. 😉 1234 11 12345678 🎶
