@luciangraves8997 жыл бұрын
andres rosas its all in his technique, a pick, soap bar style pickups and Hartke amps.
@benbond34337 жыл бұрын
He uses EMG pickups and eq, so yes, that is a big part of it. He also uses D'Addario Pro Steels, before that, it was D'Addario Prisms, and before that, Rotosound (which I think were used here, and also the Rust in Peace album). Also, along with a pick, obviously, it sounds like that clank you get from really low action.
@griffinbass255 жыл бұрын
Lucian Graves during this he had his Jackson PJ style concert basses. He didn’t have soap bars until 2010 when he rejoined megadeth. The pickups he used on his 80’s and 90’s Jackson’s were the stock P and J pickups.

Ellefson is far beyond most metal bassists, even (dare I say it) Cliff Burton. Just putting lots of distortion on your bass doesn't make you good. On the other hand, Cliff wrote better stuff. And no, Im not saying I like Megadeth more than Metallica (or vice-versa).

Burton is nothing special. Just fast fingers and lots of distortion. So is Lars and Kirk. It’s about songwriting with Metallica they are great at it and this is why I listen to them 25 times more than Megadeth. Pantera is way better at musicianship collectively than many rock bands.

Metallica are much richer than Megadeth. Because the members of Megadeth blew a lot of their money on drugs in the earlier years. Wasn't until about 1992 that they started making money. Metallica just kept on earning and still are.
