It's amazing how as a kid growing up in Radcliff, I'd go from learning about metal by accident with W.A.S.P. to eventually hair metal leading me to Megadeth, Metallica and other similar, but not as GREAT, bands. First time I heard this song, it made me go out and buy the album as quickly as I could. I was a Megadeth fan from prior albums, Rust in Peace is still my all time favorite, but this album basically cemented there place in the Upper Echelon of metal. Nice job fellas.

You might find the original a little too dated to fully enjoy it, but the remake with Denzel and Liv Schreiber was amazingly good and definitely worth watching. This is my favorite Megadeath songs, and I actually think Dave Mustaine does a great job on the vocals. Some time soon could you react to King’s X? Maybe “We Were Born to Be Loved”? Also Journey’s “Edge of the Blade” or “Chain Reaction” would be cool. Both are from the album Frontiers (make sure to listen to the original with Steve Perry).

Few quick comments. First, Marty's solos are gold because Marty crafts his solos to the keys being played underneath the solo. Though many metal songs are in Em, the guitarist does not have to solo only in Em. Between different scales or modes, different feelings can be transmitted through the guitar to the listener. Marty does this and does this well. Second, if you like the groove from the song 'Symphony of the Destruction', react to either 'Peace Sells...' or 'Angry Again'. 'Peace Sells' is an early Megadeth classic with Chris Poland's playing most of the solos. He, like Marty, has a unique style. Great groove, musically. Great bass intro. Do not watch the office video though, lyric video or album cut is better. 'Angry Again' is a song with a killer groove. Marty solo to add. Again, no office video please. Album cut or lyric video. Y'all won't be disappointed.

Friedman is great, but I actually like Mustaine on guitar even more, both for his solos and the intricate rhythm guitar work that he often writes. Please check out Wake Up Dead or Good Mourning/Black Friday for prime examples.

Dave's an old school shredder. But he knows how to add the spice with some chromatic licks and tapping. Second both 'Wake Up Dead' and 'Good Mourning/Black Friday' and add 'My Last Words'.

Not a big fan of metal. One of the few rock genres I don't really care for much. But I like this song and I like, even more, Angry Again. I think Ryan and Ty would enjoy that one. Nick has probably already heard it. Dave Mustaine does have a quirky voice. Al Pitrelli played guitar with Megadeth for a couple of years and I have seen him in concert six or seven times with Trans-Siberian Orchestra. The second half of their Christmas concert is really good rock. Got off track from Megadeth but I'll put in an early request for a Christmastime video - "Christmas Eve / Sarajevo 12/24". It's not your mama's Christmas song.

So I do not pretend to know Megadeth songs. I am more versed in other Metal groups and yes mostly Metallica. I do know the history of Dave Mustaine with Metallica. But I know he is more than just that! I actually like this song on first listen. The riff is great! I will listen a couple more times to see Playlist or not. But again a song I never heard and know I will love. Dave's voice doesn't match (to me) what he looks like. But may listen to them more if they have other songs like this. (Late to the game)

This is, really, "tertiary" (maybe: "quaternary") Megadeth. 🤷🤷 ...not sure why SO many rave about it. 🤷 Trent Reznor mixing it, makes it: tolerable, sure.... --Personally: I'd MUCH rather listen to ANYTHING off of: The System Has Failed (featuring: the SUPERB: Vinnie Colaiuta on drums! 🤘🤘). That album, absolutely, KILLS anything on this -and, likely, everything BETWEEN: Peace Sells... But Who's Buying (the last album to feature the MASTERFUL: Gar Samuelson, on drums -and, THEREFORE, the last Megadeth album which had a drummer who could swing on it! ...which is what helped make Megadeth UNIQUE (at all)!🤘🤘) and The System Has Failed! -- ...although (admittedly!) I *DO* have something of "a soft spot" for the: So Far, So Good, So WHAT!, album, as well (still good song-writing -even through the onset of: hard heroin use and other turmoil!- on that!) ...but, it SURE doesn't SWING, in the LEAST! ⚡
